Kasumi followed Ayane from the path.
"Oh, you found Kasumi," Kaoru said. "That's a relief..." She then went to look at her Shodophone, and found her hand shaking. She quickly put it down. Was I afraid...? she thought to herself.

Kasumi and Ayane followed. Kaoru couldn't help but notice that her hand was still shaking, even in the presence of her friends. Something was up... but what was it?

Ayane had her ShodoPhone against her leg, held tight, hidden. While she was behind, she lifted it, her Mojikara kanji reflecting off of the mirrors all around her as she transformed into a blackened version of ShinkenPink.

Kasumi followed suit, becoming a blackened version of ShinkenGold.
Kaoru made a quick glance at the mirrors and saw them transform, but made no indication of moving. She memorized the Kanji for "Sword" and waited for them to make the first move.

The false Ayane performed a Battojutsu slash from her "sheathed" position for Kaoru.

The false Kasumi attempted a slash at the same time, hoping to slash Kaoru.
Kaoru, however, was resourceful. She quickly drew the Kanji for Sword and her ShinkenMaru appeared, allowing her to parry both of her attackers.

The false Ayane drew her ShodoPhone with her free hand, slashing the kanji for air, and then drill, forming a drilling air fist around her free hand, punching it forward.

Kaoru was knocked backward by the drill punch, sending her crashing into a mirror and shattering it. The mirror fragments caused cuts to appear in her clothes, bleeding from those locations, as well as some cuts on her face.
The false Kasumi then ran toward Kaoru and tried to slash her, only to have it blocked by the head of the Shiba House.

The false Ayane leapt forward, ready to plunge her blade home.

Kaoru took out her Shodophone. "Ippitsu sōjō!" she shouted, drawing the Kanji for Fire in the air. She transformed into ShinkenRed and kicked Ayane away from her before pushing Kasumi away.

Ayane fell back, smashing into another mirror where Ayane's face could briefly be seen.

"Ayane!" Kaoru shouted.
Kasumi stumbled back, but tried charging at Kaoru again. Kaoru was distracted, and took the attack, causing her to fly backwards.

The false Ayane got up and ran at Kaoru, plunging her sword for Kaoru's chest.

Kaoru spun out of the way, taking out a disk. She then attached it to ShinkenMaru and spun it, creating a second Shinkenmaru for her to use.
