At the Shiba mansion, Ayane had managed to find Kaoru alone. No other retainers around, no Kuroko or anything to be seen. Perhaps this would be a good time to help Kasumi out with Kaoru, and to give the three of them some more time together, to bond as Samurai.
"Kaoru-sama?" she asked.
I believe that works for an honorific.

"I was out with Kasumi the other day, and we had fun. We were hoping that, if you weren't busy, you could...come with us this time," she said, hoping that Kaoru wouldn't find the idea foolish or stupid, a woman of her standing going and spending the day having fun with two vassals.
