AkaRed was standing atop Ayer's Rock, looking at the sunset. It hadn't been that long ago where he saw his old crewmates... But they were all different now. Don had taken the initiative and started searching for the crew on his own. Luka still had an eye for treasure, but she was the one that led the three newcomers. He smirked at the thought of those three, knowing that they were right for taking up the mantle of Gokaigers, and were in good hands with Don and Luka.
And then Joe and Ahim. They seem to have changed the most of all, but he couldn't really tell with the way they were being secretive. He then felt two presences walking toward him. "I was wondering when you two would show up."

"Did you think we wouldn't follow you, Marvelous?" Joe questioned him, neither being transformed as they approached.
"We miss you, Marvelous-san," Ahim said.

Marvelous looked at the two of them before powering down himself, wearing his usual outfit and not that paper-thin disguise he wore earlier. He fully turned around to face them. "It's been a while since I last seen you without being in a Ranger suit," he told them, smiling.

"Good; you figured out who we were," Joe said, "Marvelous, I'm going to be quick and blunt. We're going to rejoin the crew after we finish here with you. Come with us."
"Then it can be like old times," Ahim put in.

"As much as I would like to, you know that I can't. Not right now," Marvelous told them. It was hard to tell, but there was sorrow in his voice.

"We'll carry on without you, then," Ahim said, "But I hope you will come back to us soon."
As usual, she had her hands folded over her stomach; the ring apparent, if he were to notice.

"You do always come back," Joe said, "Just don't wait too long to do it this time."
He openly ignored the ring question, but Ahim felt it would be rude not to say anything, "Marvelous-san...a lot has changed since we've been split apart," she looked at her ring, "Joe-kun and I...," she shook her head. She wasn't able to say anything. Joe didn't step in to clear anything up either. He would rather not have their personal lives the subject of conversation, even with an old friend like Marvelous, even to clear up confusion; to confirm or deny what he and Ahim were to each other now, or not.

"I see. It's complicated, huh?" Marvelous asked. "Well, enough about that. What I want to know is where the heck you got those powers?" he asked, referring to the Black and White powers.

"We don't know where they came from," Ahim told him, "They were just...there for us," she looked down and bit her lip, as if she didn't want to say something. Joe showed no indication of what she knew, though. It was something that he didn't know, however.

Marvelous noticed the look, but didn't want to press any further on the subject. They would tell him when they wanted to. He looked back out at the sunset once more.

Joe looked to Ahim, catching that sign, but didn't press for details. If she knew something, she would tell him.
"How did you come by those powers, Marvelous?" Joe questioned.

"AkaRed... My old captain gave his life to save mine again, and all that was left was his powers," he told them, taking out the AkaRed key. "He told me to carry out his legacy, and that's what I have to do now. I owe him at least that much."
