She got out of her seat, moving a little closer, "There was a man who was after me, for something I had," she said, "I didn't want to fight him, or try to harm him, I just wanted to help him. He seemed lost, confused almost. After a while, I managed to help him, after trying for a while. And we started a relationship not long ago," she told Nick, "But...something went wrong, and I made a mistake of sorts, and now...I think we're done, because of something I did," she said softly, the pain filling her voice evident.

She chose that as her lie about Marcel's death.

The group set up, one of them looking through binoculars and speaking something in another language to his fellows in the small space...to the effect of, only target the man, not the woman at that table.
