She had told Joseph about what had happened with Natsumi, when Nikuyoku had taken over her body. She felt terrible about it, and had left Joseph when he didn't seem happy. She could understand that.
Joseph was a great man, and she...she had fallen prey to the Greeed within her. She left as a penance; to atone. She'd rather be unhappy than stay and give Joseph grief or any sort of pain.
She would go back to Mezool; she lived there, but she wouldn't see Joseph, not for a while, if at all. For now, she just walked through London.

Things hadn't gone well, for Nick lately. His seeming high morality and Christian vibes had alienated him from much of his base, the co-workers, other organizations, etc. He'd become a target for pretty much anyone in the black market who could find a way to kill him, whether it be petty criminals, or terror cells.
Yet most of this he wasn't privy to, as he walked down the streets of London...a cold sense of finality....or fatality....perhaps a bit of both, stalking him unawares...

She soon passed him by, not noticing Nick. Or if she had, she wouldn't have immediately recognized him. He wasn't exactly a face she would remember; it was a short meeting, and she didn't like the events surrounding it.

She slowed and turned to look at him. It took a few moments, "I remember you," she said, "Um...Nick, right?"
