I'd like that for Series 8, as long as 7 gives us origins, like it's implying.

I think there's an unwritten law that you can't say the doctors origins. You can allude to stuff, or make little references to stuff that happened. I don't think they'll be going into his proper origins.

Double Post Bill Bailey, Claire Skinner and Alexander Armstrong all in the same episode? Hell to the yes. Reference to Androazni? Also good, remind me to find and watch the Five's swansong. I quite liked the end because it puts an end to that Goddamn Silence arc. The plot was a little on the sappy side but still, it was a nice fun episode with no drama, no confusion and no ... other stuff.

I enjoyed it. Best Christmas special yet, and I hate them.
However Moffat; 4 would like a word with you...

How come?
I think it is fairly clear that the writers had fun with it.

4 died from a fall. 11 survived a fall from space. Suit or not, come on...

Ooh! Ooh! I have a suggestion as to how that could work!
When you break your bones they heal back stronger, slightly denser etc. Like those guys who punch through bricks, their hands keep healing from the damage so they get stronger and stronger each subsequent try.
So if the Doctor regenerates and every cell heals itself ...
Of course on the other hand every cell rebuilds itself anew ... Ah.
