It had dawned on Pieter that something was wrong. He had left the crew for now, though it pained him so. He hated having to leave his sister, even for a short period of time, but he had done so.
The powers of the Phantom Ranger. That was what was wrong. He could basically steal powers from someone and grant them to another. He had stolen powers from sources and given them to his followers, for one.
The power scared him. And it was starting to become out of control, it felt like. Not his power stealing, but his entire self. His power, his mind, everything about him.
The powers were rotting his body. With all he had to live for being Ahim, was this a reason? Was his will deteriorating? He had been so strong before, on Famille, but now...now things were noticeably different for him.
This was no longer a good situation. He needed a stronger will - something to fight for other than his sister - and more.
