"LIAR!" He yelled before throwing the punch....then he looked down, through his helmet...and saw the look in her eyes...and it clicked within him at that instant as the punch stopped just a finger's width shy of hitting her right in the nose.

Kaoru had shut her eyes just before she thought the punch would connect and kill her from where Shane had aimed the punch... but it never came. Kaoru opened her eyes and saw the fist just shy of her nose.

A visible sigh was heard as the faceplate of the helmet opened. "No one ever tells me these things." he gave, shaking his head. "I got left out of the loop again, then." he added..

"Baka..." Kaoru muttered before slapping him... but since he was still wearing his helmet, she ended up hurting herself instead. "Itai...." she said, clutching her hand.

He looked down for a moment, his back to her...and he saw her hands on the stomach area, where the six pack was. Now he was stunned momentarily....not sure what to say, or what to put into words...but that looked...and felt a bit...hot.
