Her smile grew, along with her blush, "Ok then," she said, leading him out of the store. Would Mezool care? She hoped not. She hoped that she would let Joseph remain with them.

When they got back to the apartment she and Mezool had, she led Joseph inside, "Mezool?" she asked, "Can we keep him?"

She hoped that that would tell Mezool that she was serious. She was willing to believe in him completely, which wasn't something she would take lightly.
