Saigo positioned the Resonator, then abandoned it and fired a blast of energy at Rise.

She took the hit and was thrown back, firing off the ground as she hit.

Saigo took the blast on his left shoulder, knocking him back. He reached behind him and strummed the Resonator once, causing a small reaction to launch him into the air. He infused his feet with energy and went for a double-leg kick at Rise.

Rise came up and span around, going for a roundhouse energy kick.

The kicks collided, creating another small explosion, this one sending Saigo flying into a tree about 20 yards away. He slumped and sat against the base of the tree, attempting to regain his bearings.

She was flung back, hitting a tree and smashing through it.

Saigo now had a wicked headache, but refused to pass out, since the Arc had a way of taking over when he did that, and when the Arc took over, it pushed his body to it's very limit, and that usually made him really, really sore. He sat up, and shook his head.

Rise rushed for him, generating power into her fist and throwing it at his neck.

Saigo rolled to one side and fired an energy blast of his own at Rise's head.

She used her other hand to swing the staff up, slicing the attack in half, sending blasts to both sides of her.

Saigo was a litle surprised she could do that, so he started scrambling toward where he had left the Resonator, half standing and half running on all fours.

"What do you mean, reveal myself?" Saigo asked, slinging the Resonator up to rest on his shoulder, like an ax.

"Why not?" Saigo said, and conked himself in the head with the Resonator, knocking himself out. He rose again about 15 seconds later, but the Arc had taken over his body.
"Rise. It has been so very long." Zephyr said.
