Nakida was happy as one can be. Tobias was bored.
Touring France Tobias was showing Nakida around Paris, nostalgia pounding him every now and then. She was on the rebound from a series of strange illnesses that had ailed her and her cheery self was back again as they wandered around the famous city.

The Earl seemingly passed right past them, he was currently in Europe going around places, he loved his home continent, there were hundreds of people like him, magicians, that were wandering around the street posing as normal people. It made him smile when he could instantly recognise another magician simply by the aura they gave off, normal people with zero magical power were white, magicians blue, demons red and angels...angels were bright gold.
As he passed Nakida, he looked back and thought to himself, 'I wonder how Nakida is...it has been a months since I've given her my blessing...has she grown stronger or has her powers faltered? It would be interesting to find out' he then disappeared among the throng of the crowd but he was always watching his most favourite toy.

Nakida noticed nothing as Tobias led her through the streets. The mark of war had faded, all power within it gone but the physical mark faint. As the Earl neared she suddenly stumbled, nausing rippling through her. Tobias frowned as he helped her get steady. Nakida glanced behind her, looking back quickly and shaking her head. Tobias's eyes remained on the Earl's hidden figure for a moment before he continued telling her about his childhood.

'Interesting' the Earl thought to himself, 'I cannot sense any lingering remnants of my mark on Nakida, has it disappeared over time? Or has she found a way to remove it altogether?' though he was betting on the former since it would be near impossible to remove his mark unless another equally powerful magician broke it and he could not think of anyone who had his kind of powers...but for now he would continue to watch if only to see how she was going.

"I'm hungry." Nakida complained as Tobias towed her along towards his old home. "Please tell me there's something other than snails to eat." She whined. Tobias laughed softly.
"There's an Italian place nearby." He chuckled and Nakida nodded enthusiastically. Tobias stopped for a moment and Nakida stepped up towards him and he put his arm around her shoulders. "You're hot." He noted, feeling her neck. Nakida frowned, touching her cheeck lightly.
"I don't feel it." She shrugged.
"No, seriously." Tobias warned, turning her to face him. "You're burning up."

As the Earl watched on he could almost taste the pain that she was suffering from the physical mark on her body, he chuckled, it would be fun to watch her squirm as watched her become increasingly sicker with no involvement on his part...he always had fun playing with Nakida as she fought to become a Kamen Rider no matter how pathetic she was in the end.

Nakida's stomach lurched and she doubled over. "Something I ate." She murmured.
Too late for breakfast. Tobias frowned. "Are you alright?" He asked, crouching down to face her.

"I'll be fine." Nakida murmured shakily as she got back up. "Come on, let's go." She said dismissively, starting to walk again. She felt great now, almost like she could fly. She closed her palm and opened it, feeling like a flower for the occasion.
A small seed was in her hand. Nothing more, nothing else. She stopped walking and put on a glove before trying it again. All that energy drained out of her - She had lost her aborkinesis. She was suddenly winded as her stomach began to tear itself apart. She could vaguely hear Tobi screaming as she fell back against a wall.

The Earl wondered what was happening to Nakida...surely his mark shouldn't have been able to cause this type of damage to her body. He began to wonder if there was something else wrong with Nakida as well...something that he could not have predicted when he placed the mark on her.

Tobias frantically gripped Nakida's shoulders and shook her. He flinched suddenly - A strange burst of information. A face. He turned slowly, scanning the crowd.
Where the hell was that bastard? He thought angrily as he searched for Clive.

The Earl continued to look at Nakida wondering what was happening while also noticing that her boyfriend is looking around for something, or someone, with a scary expression...not good.

Tobias's eyes fell upon Clive. One hand disappeared into his jacket as the angry man approached him. He let the belt from the Birth Driver snake around him as he approached, taking out something he hadn't used before - A Xell Medal.

The Earl chuckled as he approached the couple, "Do you really want to fight here?" he asked, "with so many innocent people around?"
