Inner Stuff
Likes:
- Helping people.
- The American dream, the idea that people can achieve whatever they want with hard-work and by using everything they've got and never letting anything hold them back.
- Garlic bread.
Dislikes:
- Kamen Rider Sonnet, even if it is a different person behind the mask this time around ...
- Racists, bigots, holocaust deniers, etc.
- Fighting for the sake of fighting. If you have to fight then do it to protect someone!
- Doesn't like modern culture being all sexed up, super-violent and everything else.
Strengths:
- He's at the peak of human physical perfection, he can run, jump, swim and fight like an olympic athlete (Disregarding basic builds and such, he's basically a superman).
- Good at cooking.
- An incredible tactical mind.
- Very, very brave.
Weaknesses:
- Can't lie to save his life.
- Intrigued by pretty much everything in 2011.
- He doesn't like to kill, especially not personally.
Goal(s):
- To protect the world from evil! To fight injustice wherever it rears it's ugly head!
- Set up a diner in Manhattan.
Habits/ Quirks:
- Holds the door open for everyone and prefers to be the last person into the room.
Relationships:
- Joseph Rogers, father, deceased.
- Sarah Rogers, mother, deceased.
- James Ingram, former Kamen Rider Sonnet and fellow member of the original Avengers team, deceased.
- Peggy Carter, (ex)girlfriend, deceased.
- Robert Buchanan-Barnes (Bucky), former partner, deceased.
Overview: Steve Rogers is surprisingly adaptable, whether it's adapting to a battlefield when plans haven't gone as they should or re-awakening in the 21st century and having to adjust to a totally alien world. His height often makes him seem intimidating but in reality he's incredibly friendly and always willing to help anyone (even a total stranger) regardless of what happens to him.
On the downside he is still a product of his generation, even if he never agreed with segregating the army, and supported women's rights he's still has a few moments where he'll blurt out something insulting or offensive. To his credit once he finds out the faux-pas he'll either furiously backpedal, or find the person he insulted and apologise both personally and profoundly.
Hero Stuff
Name: Captain America
Type Of Hero: Hard to describe, something close to a Kamen Rider, but with a fair bit of regular "Enhanced human" in there too.
Henshin Device: N/A
Henshin Sequence:Similar to Kamen Rider's 1, 2 and V3, he has the costume under his clothes at all times and just takes his shirt off. Then puts on the helmet and gloves.
Forms:
- Form Name: Captain America
Image/ Description: While the original suit was basically just a regular WWII army uniform dyed blue with a few white stars stitched in, and a couple of red and white stripes around the waist the Captain's new uniform is much more showy. It's now more custom made, less of a repainted uniform and more of a lightly armoured costume. Still the same layout colour scheme wise but on a full bodysuit instead. The helmet is shaped to Steven's head and has two wings on the side of it. There are a few straps and holsters down the armour and the gloves are brown. The majority of the suit is in red white and blue.
Motif: The American flag.
Color Scheme: Red, white, blue and a little bit of brown.
Transformation: None really. Steven just wears his suit underneath his regular clothes and puts the helmet on. Like what Kamen Rider's 1, 2 and V3 do.
Weapons: While Steve was trained in how to use many weapons from rifles to pistols and explosives (Hell, he was even trained in swordsmanship and on one occasion even used Kamen Rider Sonnet's Bard Sabre in battle) his main weapon remains his shield. The shield is a perfect circle with a white star in the middle then red and white circles going to the edge of it. The shield is almost indestructible and the only part of it that ever get damaged seems to be the paintjob. It occasionally gets used as a discus like weapon and has at times been used to pummel people in the face as well as defend from attacks.
Abilities: Captain America is basically considered to be the ultimate soldier. Just about superhuman with incredible strength, speed and reflexes and an incredibly gifted tactical mind running his body. Steve is an expert in several martial arts as well as brawling and street fighting, he has expert knowledge in weapons and given half an hour or so could probably learn to use a new weapon from scratch.
His senses of sight, smell, touch, hearing, taste and proprioception (Where parts of his body are without looking) are far beyond that of a normal man or woman's.
Cap's biggest ability though isn't one that was implanted into him. It's something he's had for as long as he can remember: He's determined.
Finisher(s): Limit Break, all it requires is a little bit of concentration, a little bit of synchronism and a lot of luck and the good Captain can push his body beyond the physical and mental barriers. Even if he's out of energy he can get up and throw one, super-powerful punch at his enemy.
Of course after this he does usually pass out.

History
Born on the fourth of July in 1917, Steve Rogers nearly died then and there. He was asthmatic, had a gammy arm and was premature. He would have died but against all the odds he pulled through.
He grew up remaining a sickly kid, a brave kid who'd stand between the little kids on the block and boys twice his size. He got beaten up a lot trying to protect his friends from bullies. His dad (A second generation Irish immigrant) was glad that Steve was standing up for what he believed him but was worried that he'd get hurt so he took him to work with him.
Joseph Rogers and his wife Sarah worked in a deli that Joseph's parents had set up when they got too America. Steven helped in the kitchen, waited on tables and cleared up. His mother joked that he did too much work and didn't leave enough for them.
Then the USA entered the war, and people started volunteering for service. Unlike many who were swayed into a recruiting office by propaganda posters Steve genuinely wanted to stand up for his country. There was just one problem. Well three problems really:
He was underweight.
He had a left arm that wouldn't work.
And he was asthmatic.
Now despite arguing that all he wanted to do was serve his country and beat the Nazi's the recruiting officer just shook his head and told him to beat it. So Steve walked off, more than a little depressed and was about to go back when a few men in brown coats with big hats walked up and gave him a chance to serves his country. A chance with Project: REBIRTH.
Steve eagerly accepted and after kissing his parents goodbye was taken to a special facility. There he met the British intelligence officer and master of disguise/ languages/ stealth, codenamed Mister E and another British man, James Ingram, aka, Kamen Rider Sonnet (Or as he was known then: "The Knight Of Sonnet"). Mister E had taken a few ... bits and bobs from under the noses of the Nazi party's Occult/ Super-high-tech department. These notes were being de-coded by the best cryptographers and cipher experts the allied forces had at their disposal.
After a few weeks of training Steve and four other similar men were taken to a facility, injected with a special serum and then zapped by radiation. Archibald Keller died instantly, and Daniel Jurgens suffered a fatal cardiac arrest after the procedure finished (His internal organs couldn't support the new body). Robert Fort seemed fine for seventeen minutes and fifty four seconds, but then blood started pouring out of his nose and he bled out in half as much time. Randall Hall's body was badly scarred and he lost all sensation in his nerves.
Steve Rogers didn't. Just as he had on the day of his birth he pulled through with sheer determination. His already sharp mind became a highly advanced biological computer, his asthma all but disappeared, his right and left arms became equal and his whole body grew larger, stronger and more powerful. But the project's director, Dr. Abraham Erskine was shot dead by a German spy. A German spy who would've killed the newly born "Captain America" too until Mister E shot him in the back.
Mister E, was not actually a woman at all. She was an agent of the Hathaway Foundation with a heavy black trench coat, a hat covering half her face and a fair bit of heavy make up. Her real name? Peggy Carter.
Steve Rogers was soon tested and along with James Ingram, a Soviet superhero by the name of "Proliteriat", a defected German Luftwaffe pilot named Arnold Gheist but better known as "The Phantom", "Bucky Barnes" a young soldier (barely 19) who could run at super speeds and (On tapes and propaganda videos at least) Mister E formed the group known as The Avengers.
The Avengers enjoyed many victories over Axis super villains but towards the end of the war, things turned sour.
Peggy and Steve split up, they had tried a relationship but she'd been interested in sex and he hadn't wanted to do anything until they were married. Then The Phantom was captured behind enemy lines, tried and executed personally by a Nazi scientific officer called "The Red Skull" using an experimental energy device to warp his body structure.
Then James Ingram switched sides, there'd been inklings he wasn't all there for some time but now? Ooh boy. He almost killed Captain America and the fight between the two wasted the base that the Avengers were stationed at. He did successfully kill Peggy Carter and, once he reached Russia, Proliteriat.
That just left Bucky and Cap. The two of them were sent on what would be the Avenger's final mission, find the Nazi war-criminal Baron Zemo and stop him from firing a high-powered device that would do God-knows-how-much damage to the United States once fired. The two fought their way into his Arctic base and tried to disable the bomb but it launched, with them still atop it, and still trying to shut it down.
Cap fell off, helpless as Bucky (realising he couldn't disarm it) detonated it above the air, killing himself. Cap fell into the icy Arctic ocean, with no determination left any more he just laid back and waited to die of hypothermia or drown. But fate wasn't done with the captain yet, and as he closed his eyes and took one last breath the serum coursing through his veins shut off his higher brain functions and placed him into a comatose state ...
OOC Stuff
Anything Else: Not a lot, I do think it would be cool if his original outfit were put in a museum somewhere.
OOC Name: Cross
Name Color 0000FF
Number Of Stars 5
Color Of Stars Red
Sample RP: His body may be dead, if not unconscious, but the mind of Captain America worked on. Bringing memories bubbling back to the top of his head.
The process, the five, thin men standing there. He was looking at himself through a mirror, naked from the waist up the five of them. A nurse came over and injected him in the shoulder with something. The guy next to him, what was his name? Robbie? raised his hand and said that it was still bleeding.
"You'll be fine," Insisted a general.
Then why did the doctor look so nervous? He swallowed, so did Steve.
"Alright ... ready?" Erskine asked.
Steve nodded, Robbie gave a thumbs up, Archie and Daniel both said "Yes sir!" and Randall nodded after a deep sigh.
"Alright ... three ..."
Everyone was getting out of the way, standing behind sheets or curtains.
"Two ..."
Steve put on the goggles he'd been given ...
"One!"
There was a bright white flash as the atomic power was unleashed on them ...
... There was a bright white flash as the camera bulb went off. And then another, and then another, and then another. Finally the constant blasts of light stopped and the floor opened to questions. The first reporter to raise a question was a short, but incredibly fat man with a big bushy moustache.
"Arthur Newark, Boston Gazette, Phantom? How can we trust you? You betrayed your own country? What if you betray ours?" He asked.
The Phantom took a second to answer, his English wasn't perfect but it was understandable.
"I ... I would not betray America. America is nice country. Jewish people and black people and gypsy people and ho- homer ... ho-" He cut off that point when the Avengers PR man put a finger across his throat "America is ... not ... um ... Germany is less ... less,"
"Tolerant?" "Mister. E" suggested, it was amazing how masculine Peggy could sound.
"Yes! Germany is very not tolerant,"
Another question, this one coming from a young woman with her hair neatly curled.
"Mr. Knight, Rosie Parker, Washington Post, there are so many rumours about you, what is it that's behind the helmet?" She asked.
Steve looked to the man beside him, James always wore that heavy armour and coat. Even now he was in the bright white armour, wings cascading from his back, his sword in his hands plunged into the ground beside him. He chuckled a little.
"Well, if you want me to be honest, I just have really bad breath," He replied.
A small ripple of laughter went through the audience.
"Captain America!" Asked a young man in a sharp suit who couldn't have been older than twenty "What are you going to do once this war's over?" ...
... "What are you going to do once this war's over?" Asked the Proliteriat.
"I don't really know," Said Steve.
Mikhail laughed, he was a big man, bigger than Steve with big brown eyes.
"I want to open a restaurant," He said with a big grin (The only type of expression he ever wore) "A restaurant selling Russian food,"
"Really?" Asked Steve, the two men were in the changing rooms putting on normal suits rather than the silly costumes they wore in battle "In Russia?"
"What? No?" Mikhail said with a big grin "Russian people already have Russian food, it's boring to them, and besides, I can't have a restaurant in Russia,"
Steven frowned and leaned forward, he didn't know much about what was happening in the USSR, or even what Communism was. He looked up at Mikhail and smiled.
"What's it like in Russia?" Steve asked his big Russian friend.
And for the first time in a long time his smile disappeared ...
... And for the first time in a long time his smile disappeared. Not that anyone could see behind the helmet of course, James was knocked into the wall behind him and he started to laugh. Looking up briefly to see where his enemy was. Oh, of course. Right there, at the other end of the barracks.
"My, my, my you are as strong as they say." He muttered getting to his feet.
Steve was walking solidly and determinedly towards Sonnet, his eyes burning with anger. And everything behind him burning as well. The two men ran forward again, the heavy red claws that James used in his Macbeth form smashing against Captain America's custom built shield. Steve said nothing, he just knocked him away and punched him in the gut. James barely felt it, he just laughed and punched back aiming for the face. Steve felt the hit connect and stumbled backwards.
Steve looked up and threw his arm out as far as it would go ...
... Steve looked up and threw his arm out as far as it would go, but it wasn't far enough. His eye's opened wide and he tried to grab on to the end of the missile only to fall an inch too short.
"Bucky!" He called "Bucky!"
Bucky looked down at him as he fell.
"Jump off! Bucky quick!" Steve pleaded as he fell towards the ocean "Bucky! Robert!"
The boy didn't say anything. He just smiled and pushed down on Zemo's ultimate weapon.
There was an explosion, a huge explosion that sent debris and fire spiralling to the ground.
"BUCKY!" Screamed Steve, seconds before there was a loud "SPLASH!" and his body began to sink into the ocean ...
