Not sure if this should have it's own thread or not =/
Umm.. Anyway, I'm watching Dekaranger, OOO and Gokaiger but OOO will be over soon, Gokaiger is rarely watched due to slow uploading onto Megavideo and I'm starting to get tired of guys in spandex, so I'm planning on starting a new Rider Series. So, which should I start?
1 - Agito. I know a place where I should be able to watch all of them online and I really like the series and I never had a chance to finish. 2 - Ryuki. It seems interesting and I quite liked KRDK so this should be immensely epic, right? 3 - Kabuto. I'm not sure about this but everything says it's great, so... =/ 4 - Blade. It seems quite awesome, a team of Riders and I love the card-based battery riders. 5 - Kiva. I didn't like it first run but it might grow on me. 6 - Resort to rewatching OOO and Den-O.

My ideas:
1. Ryuki, it's different than the trainwreck that was Dragon Knight (come on, Dragon Knight could literally have taken place over the span of two days, there was no pacing or anything in it. A good show, though). Ryuki some say had problems with killing Riders, but it was good, I really liked it.
2. Blade, only because it comes next in order. Blade is amazing; I don't know why, but it is just amazing.
3. Kiva, the fact that it has two storylines makes it really strong. The characters are great with a few exceptions, I felt.
4. Kabuto. Honestly, this might be worth watching, but on my list, it's the bottom entry for the series you list. Tendou/Kabuto is so ****ing annoying to watch. I almost gave up, but the other Riders make up for him.

I think you'll like it. It's a bit dated (but then again, I noticed that 555 also looked dated), but it's a good series, one of my personal favorites.

555 and Kabuto are hands down the greatest series of the Heisei era =_= well them and W but that's obvious. Blade is up there as well but it gets a little convoluted. Tendou Souji is a complete bad ass so I don't know what McKenzie is talking about he is probably the most awesome main rider we have ever gotten. 555 does look a bit dated though as will all series from that time. 555 has an awesome story, awesome riders, though the monster designs are lacking somewhat because all orphnoch's are gray or white. Bit boring. Lol. Another completely different Toku series you could look into is Madan Senki Ryukendo. I like it a lot, it's more Kamen Rider than Sentai but the suit designs are more elaborate.

It's Ren here.
He's seen bits of Ryukendo he said before and I think he said he gave up on it. Tomica is superior, anyway.
But how is Tendou so great? He's not even a character, basically. He's perfection personified, making him a boring, invincible hero hardly worth watching. The point of Kabuto, as I've seen it defended, is that it's about everyone but Kabuto/Tendou. He's just there to show them off in different ways.

Tomica I find to be INCREDIBLY BORING. Ryukendo was much more fun to watch. Tendou was great BECAUSE of that sense of superiority he exuded but we later come to find out that he is actually a very vulnerable character. Confidence isn't a bad thing in a character, though in Tendou's case it was merely a front. The way he helped those around him in such a way that is no blatantly obvious yet behind his motives was a deep vein of legitimate care for his sister(s), Arata, Tsurugi, hell even Gon. Invincible hero? All main riders in every Kamen Rider series are in effect "invincible" they always win in the end, Tendou lost several times during the series. Hell he lost more than Kuuga did, that's for sure. To discount a character just because at first he seems so cocky and "perfect" is a bit strange to me. He is the man who walks the path of Heaven, the one who will rule everything... and you should remember that. ;D
Also he does have the most epic Rider Kick of all time.

Never seen Kuuga, so I can't comment on that.
But main Riders get their asses handed to them enough times to make it entertaining to watch. Tendou loses all of 3 or 4 times in the entirety of the season. Basically, going into a fight, you know he's going to win. That isn't fun to watch. Literally the only reason I continued is because of TheBee being badass. I'd have given up if not for that design leading into some great characters.
That, and Sawsword made the show for me.
Tendou, as of episode 47 or 48 (don't recall which) instantly becomes the worst main Rider ever. I don't want to spoil anything for Kaisu, but you should know what I'm talking about.

47 or 48? The thing with the necklaces? How does that make him the worst main rider ever? Lmao what? We should all be suspicious of miracle "cures" just saying.

The necklaces? That was stupid; it's been a while. 46, I think. Somewhere in that four or five episode range.

I'm with Ren, Tomica > Ryukendo. Gave up on it after a while.
555 I finished a while back but I'm planning on playing him anyway so I'll going to just watch Ryuki next. Then maybe Blade or Kiva but at any rate, this thread wasn't made to argue over which season is superior.

Let's review.
Tomica Hero : New toy every two episodes up to episode 12 or so. Pause, then add another two vehiciles. Episode 25, a new Gattai Form. Afterwards, 1 new vehicle. 1 single-use vehicle, one new weapon. One new Gattai form for the final episode. They spammed it a bit with DX Core Striker/Aider Power/Wave Search sized Rescue Machines, but hey. The toys were quality, I still play with them xD [And I regret not getting Core Striker. I couldn't find it ;-;]
