Five thousand, and he only had to keep betting three hundred? That would last long enough.

Tobias smirked and looked over his Cells. He should probably try to up the bet but with only three of those Cores known to him and 54 Cells it would be risky. He glanced at his cards, A King of Spades, an 8 of Clovers, Ace of Hearts and a 5 of Spades.
[I'm going to just go with the idea that they're playing on one of those picnic benches.]
"To bankruptcy." Tobias announced as he put down three Cores, sliding them in one at a time as he tried to get more Cell Medals in his hand by taking some from Gotou.
"All even?" He asked, trying to keep a poker face as he concentrated on the Cells.

I do, but it has been a while, so not really anymore, especially not text-based. If I actually played, I could figure it out. I'll leave a hand out of this post. And I only need three Blacks, I realized, for the movie to make sense.

Tobias flipped over the three cards in the centre and read them before looking up at Gotou, trying to read his expression.

Tobias chuckled as he watched Gotou. He had a large stack of Cells on his side of the table and he was shuffling the cards again. Gotou had one or two hundred left by his calculations and Tobias still had all three Cores.
"Last game." Tobias smirked as he dealt out the cards. The Jack and Queen of Spades to him, a 10 of Spades on the table, a 8 of Hearts and a 5 of Clovers and Gotou had a 3 and 7 of Diamonds. Next up in the deck as a King of Spades and an Ace of Spades.
Tobias would have a Royal Flush but he kept an even face.

He had to be cheating somehow. That was instinct; not a thought in Gotou's mind. He blanked his mind, finding a clear focus, not thinking about his cards or anything.
"How about we make this interesting and change to Black Jack?" he questioned, "For all of it. Final hand."

"If you really want to. One last wish." Tobias smirked as he burned all of the cards on the table out of play. He dealt out the cards, giving Gotou his and dealing himself his cards. "I'll bet the three Cores. Three hundred's worth."

Wow, how did I forget what Black Jack was? I must have misread something or another.
Gotou said nothing as he flipped them. "Jack of Spades, Nine of Hearts. 20." He kept his calm face.
