So, we tend to have some problems with canon characters and face claims. Basically some people are using a canon character to play an OC which makes it extra-hard to play that canon character when they want to.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to sort this out?

If you want someone from a series, bring it up here, we put it to a vote. Mainly, we see if anyone was going to play that canon character, or something.

Well, if the character's face claim is not their true form, the face claim could still be used.

Yup; Akira/Jack Moon's human face claim (just a disguise) is going to be used by my next Ranger, since it fits him very well.
But that's not really the issue; we already knew that.

Okay that makes sense, if it's a "disguise" like the Greeed's human forms then how about it doesn't count? Sound like something I can add to the rules?

I've always assumed that that was something we could do, since I've reused a face claim already (well, that character isn't up yet, but it still stands).

It's been confirmed that the Greeed can just copy appearances of humans, so they don't really count. On the other hand, Ankh and Kaisu Sanyura are identical and that's canon, so... One exception tot hat.

Okay idea: They say that there's three people who share the same face. It's an old Myth from either Japan or China, I can't remember where. They referenced it in Dekaranger when Umeko and that alien princess swapped places. And then there was that episode of Rescue Force with a near identical plot involving Juri and an idol who looked just like her. Hell, it's even in real life! This is folk singer Justin Townes Earle ... And this is actor Cillian MurphySo, how about we give people some leeway with face claims matching and after three we stop. As well as that, clones, parallel versions and other things are exempt, and if it's a disguise then it doesn't "count". Sound alright? or is it stupid?

Woo-Hoo! I'll put it on the Face Claims bit.

Okay, I'm having second thoughts about this. Three people in one small concentrated area with the same face seems to be a bit awkward so maybe two of the same Face Claim, three allowed if they look quite a bit different. Again, clones, disguies, aliens(?), parallel world versions and stuff are exempt.
I'm not enforcing this, just suggesting it.

So, say I can use Ryouske Miura when he looks like Ankh while Ren uses the same face for Foundation X?

That's the idea I had but until the other Admins get back to me with that it's just an idea.
