Tommy is a loyal and brave member of the sentai legend. He tends to think before acting rashly which he learned from his years of leadership experience. However, he tends to get too emotionally close to those he cares for leading the people in his life to sometimes get in the way of his responsibilities as a Sentai Warrior.

Tommy began his life as a Sentai warrior when he was kidnapped and brainwashed into the Evil DragonRanger. He fought against his ZyuRanger counterparts until he was eventually freed from the evil magic controlling him and he joined the others in their fight for good and justice. Eventually, his DragonRanger powers were lost when the Green Candle (that his powers were linked to) burnt out, and he eventually took up the newly created powers of KibaRanger and continued his fight for justice. He eventually took up the mantle of the Red Ranger when he became OhRed and eventually RedRacer as his fight with his comrades continued through time.
He eventually passed on his powers and stepped down as the Red Ranger so he could carry on with his life. Tommy went to college and aquired his PhD in Paleontology, before settling down in a teaching job in the supposed quiet town of Reefside. However, trouble broke out again, forcing Tommy to assume the identity of AbareBlack alongside the other AbaRangers.
After evil was put at bay once more, Tommy was approached by the original AkaRed. He told Tommy that he greatly admired his determination to the Sentai Warrior cause and granted him the powers of one of AkaRed's team members, GinSilver, should he ever be needed again. Since then, Tommy has been on guard, waiting for the moment he would be needed again

Tommy was sat at his desk in his office in Reefside High, scrutinising his new Ranger Key between his fingers. His mind went back to the night he received his new powers.
It was dark, and raining. A woman and her young son were being dragged off by some unknown creatures when Tommy came around the corner. His instincts kicked in and he charged for the assailants. Delivering a swift, flying kick to the head of one and a blow to the head of another, he freed the mother and child.
"RUN!" he told them before they took off in the opposite direction.
Tommy fought the group for several minutes before he was eventually overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of the attackers. suddenly there was a red flash and a figure in red was fighting them off. Moments later, Tommy was free and saw his saviour. He looked similar to a Red Ranger, but none he had ever seen before. The pair faught off the last of the creatures before they faced one another.
"I don't know who you are...but thanks!" Tommy said, panting as he held out his hand for his new friend to shake. Instead his hand was met with some sort of metal device and a small figurine, "What's...this?"
"The Sentai Legend is not finished with you yet, Dr. Thomas Oliver!" the red figure said, "I am the physical embodiment of all red sentai warriors that have been, that are, and have yet to come, AkaRed!"
"AkaRed?" he repeated, puzzled as he looked at his gift.
It was a mobile phone-looking device with a figurine that looked similar to AkaRed, however in silver instead of red.
"You have shown yourself worth of the power of GinSilver several times over. It is time you took up the mantle of a defender once more. Use that Mobirates and Ranger Key wherever trouble is near, and you will become a grand warrior once more!"
At that, AkaRed disappeared with another red flash.
"No, wait...!" he said in vain as AkaRed vanished.
He sighed and his mind drew back to his past. On the side of evil and DragonRanger, bringing harm to his friends, the ZyuRangers. He could never forgive himself for those dark times. And for that reason, he saw himself unworthy of this new power.

- Super Sentai Ball - It is a dominantly white soccer ball with rings of the Super Sentai colors around it and the 35th Anniversary logo. The technique used for it is similar to the Goranger Storm attack.
