I noticed that.
For all of my problems with Kabuto, episode 46 made it all worthwhile.

Kiva episodes 25-26. I knew something like this would happen since Wateru is part Fangire and Megumi isn't his sister but still...I need to go cry now.

Shortly after exposing Jiro as a werewolf demon and formally getting together with Yuri Oteya gets amnesia after fighting Rook and Maya comes to him pretending to Yuri.

Oh, that Yuri isn't Wataru's mother, so Otoya doesn't get her in the past, since they're both human? Is that what you're talking about?

Yeah. I knew it was going to happen but it's still sad to see after all that happened.

After continuing OOO, I realized that this and W are by far the best Rider seasons I've seen yet.
W was just beautiful, and the crime aspect I loved, since I'm going into criminal justice to join the police, and hopefully one day become a detective.
OOO is just...interesting. Thinking back, it has a great cast just like W, and while some of it isn't as good as W was, I think in terms of balancing drama to comedy (I prefer the drama), it is still amazing.
And Tajador is absolutely amazing; beautiful, yet badass.

W and (especially) OOO are proof that a merchandise driven show doesn't have to forsake story telling in order to sell products. I mean, you can get the hoodie's and pants (boxers) for Eiji and yet the show still follows a fantastic storyline.

I really want Shotaro's vest and fedora, but I'd need a middleman, and they're pretty damn expensive, and translating the Japanese and figuring out sizes is a bit difficult.
I also want the USB flashdrive Gaia Memories that they sold; all six of the main W Memories. You could use one at a time and just change the outside, or something, and I guess it made the sound of the Memory when you plugged it in.
I remember reading on TVTropes about OOO and product placement; how they use the Ipad and Iphone multiple times (Ankh does), yet they use the Grasshopper Canroids to communicate with each other. Their merchandise is more important than product placement merchandise; love it.
As for storyline and selling products, I feel that Kiva had a pretty good story, as did Ryuki (well, character drive, I mean. The battle royal main story felt product driven, but the characters themselves went pretty well outside of that, I feel). Blade felt kind of product driven for the most part, and Kabuto...I'm not getting started on that. That would require I think about the series, and I hate doing that because I think of Tendou...bastard... (episode 46 makes him an irredeemable bastard in my eyes)

The problem with the recent Kamen Riders is that, yeah, they're product driven as heck.
You can get about 20 items with Skull's emblem on it, have no relation to the series, for about 50 bucks. Each.
And meanwhile, they don't even have his hat.
But I will agree that they do have a beuatiful storyline.

That many items though, with Skull, really is merchandise driven. He was in two movies, and cameoed as a Diend summon.
But then again, Skull is an immense badass, so I can forgive them for putting so much out with him on it.

Watched THE FIRST and THE NEXT over the weekend. I was confused to hell and back at times by both movies.
Good movies, though. I really want that rumored ZERO movie about Riderman to come out.
