She saw the tear and was going to say something, but she couldn't find any words to use. She just shut her mouth and walked into her house, looking down, sadness returning.

Kari showed up for school, wearing the Amanogawa uniform....though she wore spandex under the skirt, hating the skirt itself. She carried her book bag along...

Kari didn't see her right away as she walked on, nearly bumping into her, but moving aside at the last moment, her eyes looking up to see Katsu.
