Lord Commander had organised a mission beyond the Wall. First Ranger Royce was to head it up. He was to select a team of two others. As far as he was concered, there were a fair few that stood out for him. But two more than most.

Joffrey was sitting in his room, sharpening Longclaw. He had neglected the maintenance for a shockingly long time, so he was picking up where he left off. He sat in his room, on his bed, with the sword across his lap as he took a whetstone to it.
