Overview:
Kent is essentially your typical billionaire playboy. He enjoys the pleasures of life, but shuns the hardships of it. As he is a businessman, he has a keen mind, and can know a good deal when he sees one.

As Doctor Fate, the personality of Nabu takes over, and he becomes much more sombre in personality, acting more as a wise man, giving out advice and morals. Nabu acts slightly arrogant towards others, as he was once one of the most powerful wizards alive.

History

Kent comes from a very upper crust lifestyle. He is the heir to Nelson Pharmaceuticals, a medicine company on the cutting edge of pharmaceutical treatment. From a young age, he recognised the company's importance to the people and how it helped them. But all the medicine in the world couldn't stop his mother dying of a brain tumor when he was 18. As a result, he had to call off a trip to Mesopotamia for a while, until he had paid his respects. Then he and his father went off together, leading to a better relationship between the two.

Together, they explored the Valley of Ur, in the hope of finding some kind of artifact. This led them to the door of the tomb of an ancient wizard known as Nabu. In his haste, Kent opened the door, causing his father to collapse, and Kent to be trapped inside the tomb. The only thing in the tomb was a golden helmet. A voice whispered to Kent to put on the helmet. Kent obliged and was transformed into Doctor Fate, who escaped the tomb with Kent's father's body in tow.

Once he had returned to his home, and as head of the company, Kent vowed to use the helmet to fight any threats that came his way, all the while collecting artifacts related to Nabu.

"Ladies and gentlemen and others!" Kent adressed the group of officials standing before him. "Nelson Pharmaceuticals has been on the cutting edge of medicinal science for more than 16 years. This is completely different. For those of you interested in ancient myths, like myself, I succeeded in gaining possession of an artifact thought long gone. I present...the Helm of Nabu!"

He whipped back a velvet curtain over a display case, revealing the glistening helmet. The press went wild, taking pictures and asking questions.

"People, people, simmer down." Kent raised his hands, bidding everyone in the room sit. They did. "Yes, the Helm of Nabu. The battle mask that the wizard Nabu wore when he fought the conqueror wizard Makuta, and, rumour has it, stored his life force in when he died. We've done our best to restore it to it's original state..." which was a lie. Kent had found the helmet like that. "...and I'm adding it to my private collection."
