Venator Sentai Slayeranger is a Super Sentai idea I've been toying around with for a while. So I figured I'd try and see if it would work here since there are only one or two original Sentai/PR teams here.
Basically, the Slayerangers are monster hunters and slayers. In reference as to what kind, its less Van Helsing and more Supernatural/Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Charmed in execution. The five treat which monsters are evil on a case by case basis as of the latest generation. In the tradition of the above shows, I'd like the rangers to be a bit more comedic as well.
Each ranger's suit is based on a magical monster. Each one also has an animal mecha based on their monster (listed below). Red uses a bat (wings), Blue uses a wolf (chest), Green uses a bull (legs), Yellow uses a fox (right arm), and Pink uses a dolphin (left arm). They all have a weapon based on the animal but I'll leave that upto the person using the character.
The individual suits are quite inelaborate. The helmets take inspiration from the simple designs of Maskman. The suit is mainly the specific rangers's color with a white V badge. The shirt of the suits have a black symbol representing their monster (ie black bat with its wings open). Each ranger carries a Silver Buster, a laser blaster. It can be split into two parts, the handle can become a bladed knuckle duster and the barrel can be used as a knife. The Buster itself can double as a handaxe.
The transformation device is the Ven Brace. It takes the form of a small watch that can extend a knife. The transformation is caused by pricking one's finger on it and incanting "Venator Change!"
