Inspired in part by the Avengers
Following Loki's involvement in the Azrael event, he loses his power as Kamen Rider Chalice, and Odin (who I'm adopting from Clive) wipes his memory. So for a while he can't henshin or remember who he was, he's just a guy who can do magic, but once he gains another "Henshin power" in the form of the Tesseracter (his staff from the Avengers), which gives his armor from the Avengers, he regains his memories and returns to his godly ways.
As a twist of irony, I'm thinking he should join with SHIELD until he gets his memory back.
