The young man landed on his back in an alley...a relatively clean one, by the standards of Akibahara, but still an alley. Pushing to his feet, his tribal markings flared as his stomach protested the lack of food, and his senses as a Fandiri were agreeing. He needed either food...or a beautiful woman....but for now, he decided to try and find a place where he could eat.
Walking out of the alley, he began to wander...searching for a place to eat, a restaurant, or a cafe, or anything.

On a little break on his day off, Kakeru decided to take a trip to Akibahara to take in some sights and sounds. Of course, most of his time had been spent in a maid cafe. Such was the life of a nomad gambler.

Soon he found a cafe, and staggered through the door, managing to keep a brave "poker face" as a gambler would identify it, but needing food badly. Takeda placed his order after weakly flirting with a couple of the maids, and wandered around, looking for a table to sit down at.

Kakeru smiled, enjoying his time, before seeing a man walk in who seemed like he could use company. As the man turned his way, Kakeru motioned for him to sit across from him, before waving for one of the workers, a cute young newbie in a bright pink wig, to come over. "Hun, if you don't mind, the gentleman over there seems like he could use some pepping up, and a drink. On my account, of course." The maid smiled, and responded cutely "Of course, Kakechin~" She skipped off, and made her way towards the man. "Goshuujin-sama~ One of our regulars insists that I show you to his table~ Would you like a drink, compliments of the house~?"

Takeda nodded. "Thank you...it can be the house's best." he said weakly, smiling at her before following her over to Kakeru's table and sitting down. His smile darkened slightly at realizing a man sat across from him, but it couldn't be helped, so he said nothing. He took a moment to try and gather his strength for conversation...

Kakeru glanced at the man and chuckled. "Well, don't be so depressed that you're sitting with a man at a maid cafe. Not many women frequent here. Well, not that would be at all interested in either of us, at least. You looked like you were about to keel over, so don't be so picky about who's paying you're bill, either. Nobody else in here may have noticed, but in my years, I've gotten a fairly sharp eye for reading people. So, care to chat?" He inquired, his eye flashing a bright crimson for a split second, before returning to it's dull red shade, as the maid from before brought out a large parfait and a large, colorful beverage. "Here you go, Goshuujin-sama~ Puru Puru~ Puritti Meido~" She did a little dance, with a cute magical chant to go with it, part of the cafe's theme.
((Pardon if it seems a little Power-playish. A gambler has to be perceptive beyond the norm, after all.))

"You're....pretty perceptive....for a gambler." Takeda managed to get out. The man was paying his bill? Tch. He noticed the eyes flash, and smiled a bit at the maid. "But...we can talk." he said simply, taking a long gulp of the beverage without checking to see what it was.

Kakeru chuckled, delicately taking the spoon in hand and taking a mouthful of parfait. As he swallowed it, he spoke again, making himself plain and clear. "So, why precisely are you here? You don't seem much the type for maid cafes, and you look like if I poked you you'd yelp from being bruised all over, even if I can't see any bruises. So, howsabout you share some info with me, before I decide it best to test my little theory?" He said, taking another spoonful of parfait.

"Hmph,...even if I told you..." Takeda said, taking a taste of the parfait with the spoon. "I...highly doubt you'd believe me." As the man went on, his eyes narrowed, and his neck and chin started to ripple slightly. "If you want to fight me, that can be arranged. Outside...though." he said. "Away from the...beautiful women."

Kakeru chuckled again, pointing his spoon at his company. "Oh no no no, I don't intend to fight you. No, that would be against my principles. I don't fight the injured. And you don't know just how wrong you are. I'd understand quite easily, you see." He fought the urge to just have the four appear around him, but he didn't want to cause a ruckus in a place he frequented. "Suffice to say, I know more than you could imagine."

"I saw your eyes ... flash." Takeda gave in a lower tone as he ate some more of the parfait. "I wonder what you would know of alternate dimensions...and of fighting for hours on end, having only the bitter taste of feasting on your enemies to survive."

Kakeru's gaze steeled. He'd had...less than stellar experiences with dimension-hoppers, so he'd gotten a habit of becoming much more serious when the mention of other dimensions came about. "Now you have my attention. And yes, I've had my share of battles, and then some. I've had comrades die in my arms, friends who worked alongside me. I know of suffering in battle. So what are you getting at, my mysterious friend. And stay outta my parfait, order your own. I said I'd pay, not I'd share."

Takeda actually laughed at that, returning his spoon to his side of the table and ordering something for himself. The maid went to retrieve it, and his strength began to return now... "What I'm getting at, gambler...is that I'm a very hungry half-human, half-Fangire who's been fighting for his life. I...walked dimensions. I .... found people that had lost it all...and gave them a new power...and a second chance. I have taken my own second chance...I guess this is the start of it, living here in the Nexus of Dimensions....as I know this world to be."

Kakeru's steeled gaze became a narrow glare at the mention of the word Fangire, and his words became more to the point and direct, losing his aloof disposition. "Half Fangire? I sure as hell hope you're contented with regular food, because I'm in no mood for bloodshed. And my name's Kakeru, so use it. Don't just call me gambler. So, as you're apparently new in this dimension, is there anything you'd need help adjusting to? My sources could probably set you up with a normal life somewhere, if you want."

"Baka." Takeda said, glaring back at him. "Why do you think I came here? It wasn't to make a social call, or to ogle the women." he said, digging in as his order was served. "It was to eat normal food." he gave, before looking up after taking a small pause. "As for adjusting...I only need a place to stay, sleep...and rest...I need normal food, and fine drinks...Scotch whiskey works great....and I need some of the power that you have." His sleeves would conceal the hidden Cross Changer and Angel Riser, respectively. Out of a purely instinctual guess...he felt that the gambler might be a Rider.
