Overview: Kai is the one many would expect to be the leader. After all, he's Aqua 1, he drives the biggest vehicle, all that jazz. Truth is, he's more the figurehead. He gives the inspiring speeches and leads the charges, but he does no actual leading. He sleeps in late, he almost never gets things done on time, his fear of fire often gets in the way of the actual rescue, many other things.

Henshin Device: Rescue Brace, a brace device that is rectangular with rounded corners, and tapers slightly at the end pointing toward the elbow similarly to a Fury Caller. On the end closer to the hand is a dial with a light blue screen in the middle, a red arrow on the edge and four "settings", which are "Chakusou", "Scramble", "Comm" and "Locate", and finally there is a cover that can be flipped up on the other end which reveals a small keyboard and screen, used with Locate Mode as a GPS device
Henshin Sequence: Turns the dial to "Chakusou" and it announces that, then he yells, "Aqua 1!" into the brace, disabling the voice lock. He punches his arm forward, yells, "Chakusou!" then swings it clockwise in front of him, finishing with the Brace next to his face, disabling the accelerometer lock and starting the chakusou sequence. A spectral blue shark flies out and makes a 180, then crashes into his body, forming the undersuit and Wave Rescuer. His armor folds out from the Wave Rescuer, his other weapons appear, and the helmet folds out over his head. When this is complete, he salutes and yells, "Aqua 1! Chakusou kanryou!"

  A rounded off helmet with a face plate similar to the Sky Team of Rescue Fire; with facial structures and a visor that can appear over the top. It's thicker at the top, then comes out a rim around the eyebrow level and hangs down farther at that point, before becoming smaller again for the rest of the head. The chest has thick armor protecting it, with detail work like that of Rescue Force's; somewhat segmented armor. The arms have no armor, except for elbow and gauntlet armor. The waist features a belt armed with weaponry. Leg armor is almost nonexistent after the belt, with only knee and boot armor. The suits also have miniature jets affixed to them for faster undersea travel, as well as an air supply, limited to about ten minutes under at a time. The undersuit color is dark blue, while the armor color is a lighter shade of blue.

  Weapons: The Aero Gun, a gun which shoots blasts of compressed air. The Wave Rescuer, a backpack which can be broken down into three parts: Wave Breath, a underwater breather device for rescued civvies, Wave Jet, a small one-man jet for traveling underwater faster than the boot jets, and the Wave Strike, a device that fits over the arm, eliminating the drag created by underwater movement.
  Abilities: His armor has jets attached to the boots which allow him to travel at about 10 mph in the water, and with the Wave Jet he can travel at twice that. He has an air supply in the Wave Rescuer which allows him to go underwater for about 10 minutes before needing to return to the surface.

Mecha Name: Dive Patroller

Image/ Description: A large blue and white boat, similar to a yacht, with panels on the sides.
Motif: Boat
Abilities: Can hold up to fifteen men, and travel up to 30 miles per hour. The panels on the sides can pop off, revealing weapons caches consisting of air cannons and bombs.

History

Kai had a pretty good childhood for the most part. His parents loved him and he had a pretty stable life, until one day, the worst happened. While dinner was cooking, a spark flew off and hit a curtain, lighting the whole house on fire. Of course, no one noticed until it was too late, and his parents managed to get Kai out of the house. He broke away from the fireman holding him and tried to save his parents, but a burning beam fell on him and knocked him out. Luckily, the fireman was following closely behind, and managed to save him with minor scarring on his face and chest. Unfortunately, that burning beam that had knocked out Kai has prevented his parent's escape, and they had both died. Kai was 4.
As a result of that, he developed an intense fear of fire. He was soon adopted by Mikel Raisen, his father's coworker at the UFDA, and was raised by him. He soon learned about his new dad's day job, and visited him at the Rescue Phoenix after school, sitting with him and doing his homework inside the facility, though was evacuated with all of the other non-essential personnel every time a Super Disaster cropped up. He came to idolize the original Rescue Force, as well as the second generation, and aspired to become like them. He had also been cultivating a love of the water, taking advantage of the Rescue Phoenix training facilities after his homework was done and swimming laps in the pool. He loved water because it was the opposite of fire, and soon became an excellent swimmer.
When the UFDA began forming it's branches, he visited the vehicle development areas every day, to see if there was a water-based team. When he graduated college at age 20, he applied with the UFDA to work with them, and he was accepted. He was put on standby until the Rescue Aqua gear was finished, and he was chosen as Aqua 1 because of his skills in the water in general and his Rescue Soul, something he wasn't even aware he had. He now leads the team, who have mostly been inactive.

Sample RP: Kai was sleeping quite peacefully. In fact, he was having a dream where he was in a castle with several beautiful woman as his servants who would obey his every command. He was smiling as he slept, until his clock went off, and he started awake, sitting up at incredible speed and screaming.
“Dude. SHUT. UP!” Kenji yelled through the wall from the other room.
“Sorry, Kenji.” Kai said as he swung his legs out of the bed and walked over to his dresser. He put on a pair of pants (dirty) and an undershirt and shuffled out to get breakfast in the Dive Phoenix cafeteria. The food wasn’t particularly great, but it was better than most restaurants these days and it filled him up.
He shuffled back to his room about an hour later, having just eaten a huge meal of 6 pancakes, two muffins, a waffle, and a glass of water to wash it all down. He pulled on a shirt (also dirty) and said, “Okay, I’m ready to start the day.”
“I thought I already told you to shut up.” Kenji said again from the other room.
“Sorry.” Kai said.
“Don’t be sorry. Just don’t talk, I’m trying to read.” Kenji said.

Overview: Kenji is the real leader of the group, leading the charge and doing all of the behind the scenes work. He is very dedicated to the cause, and dislikes Kai because Kai can’t get sh*t done without being smacked upside the head first. Kenji is the kind of guy who gets up at 4 in the morning and works out for two hours, eats a painfully healthy breakfast reads for two hours and goes to work.

Hero Stuff
Name: Rescue Knight Spark
Type Of Hero: Technically a Rider, but he calls himself a "Rescue Knight".
Henshin Device: Spark System, a set of add-on parts he attaches to his Rescue Brace to transform into an arm-mounted transformation device, resembling a gold bracer and gauntlet with a window in the middle where the Spark he has loaded will show, a slot behind his knuckles to load the Sparks, and three buttons arranged in a triangle on the back of his hand.
Henshin Sequence: Calls in and obtains authorization for a Niji Chakusou from Captain Raisen, then assembles the Spark System on his arm. This takes about 20 seconds, and when that's done, he pulls out a Spark, usually the Primal Spark, and slots it in, then yells, “Niji Chakusou!” and hits the top button on the triangle, causing several add-on pieces to appear and attach to his armor a la Den-O.

  Finisher(s): Primal Roar- He hits the bottom left button in the triangle on the System, and it announces, “Spark Charge!” as the Rippers and his mouthplate begin to glow. He screams, “Primal…” and rears his head back, then thrusts it forward and yells, “ROAR!” unleashing a powerful sonic attack which freezes his target in place. Then he charges and slashes the target in two.

  Abilities: He can move at incredible speed, and use this to run up walls and along ceilings, as long as he stays in motion. The Razor can cut through pretty much anything.
  Finisher(s): Grim Tidings- He taps the finisher button on the Spark System, and it announces, "Spark Charge!" as the Razor begins to appear to absorb light. He says, "Grim Tidings." and disappears. He then reappears at several points around the enemy, striking several times until they die.

History

Kenji practically grew up in the water. His home from childhood into his mid teen’s was right next to a lake, and he went swimming in it as often as he could. He grew to love the water, and thought he couldn’t live without it. Unfortunately, his dad’s job with the UFDA required them to move into the city, and Kenji reluctantly complied. In the city, there were no pools readily available to help Kenji release energy, so he turned it to his studies, becoming incredibly smart and gaining a reputation as a total nerd. What he was most interested in was the armors that the various heroes wore, especially the technological armors like IXA.
He became a technology expert, becoming very well-versed in many aspects of technology, and in his senior year of high school, he began drawing up plans for the Spark System, his own Rider armor, but he couldn’t figure out how to be able to generate enough power in this tiny device for it to actually work. He got a lucky break in the form of his dad recommending him for candidacy in the Rescue Aqua team.
When he joined the team, he noticed the chakusou devices were braces, so he examined his Brace very carefully. He got permission from Captain Raisen, then modified his Brace and the Spark System slightly, turning the Spark System into a set of attachment parts for his Brace. He’s tested it several times, and it has worked perfectly to this point, but he hasn’t had the chance to properly field test it yet. He’s spent the mean time learning how the fly the Dive Plane, and is quite good at it.

Sample RP: Kenji took out the attaché case and flipped the locks open, opening in semi-reverently to reveal the part of the Spark System. He began attaching the various pieces, as Kai timed him to see how fast he could do it.
"Done!" Kenji said and Kai hit the stop button on the stopwatch he was holding.
"21 and a quarter seconds. You slipped up there." Kai said jokingly.
"Shut up." Kenji said as he pulled out the basic testing version of the Grim Spark, for his new form. He slotted it in, and decided to forego the call as he hit the button. First his Rescue Aqua armor appeared, then the parts of his Grim Form appeared. They came in to attach, but stopped in midair.
"What the-?" Kenji asked, but was cut off when energy began arcing through his body from the Spark System, and the attach pieces clanged to the ground and he began to scream in pain.
"Cut the power to his Brace!" Kai yelled at the one-way mirror in the back of the testing room. Seconds later, Kenji's armor disappeared and he collapsed, panting heavily.
"Kenji! Are you alright?" Mikel asked as he led a group of researchers into the room.
"I think I am." Kenji said, still panting.

Overview: Mikel is the gruff, stern father-figure type of captain, but is quite talkative for the image he’s going for. He likes to rant every now and then, and is quite energetic for his age. He cares deeply for Kai, and would never be able to forgive himself were something to happen to him.

History

Mikel was raised by his father, as his mother had died when he was very young. He lived with his dad until he went to college, at which point his dad died while Mikel was in his second year of college in a house fire. Mikel steeled himself and focused on his studies, and expressed his feelings of sadness and rage on a training bag most often, working out to relieve stress. When he graduated college, he joined the UFDA, wanting to prevent what happened to his dad from happening to other people.
He became great friends with Kenta Junzo, Kai’s biological father, and when Kenta and his wife died in a house fire, he agreed to take in young Kai, wanting to have him live a more normal life than he did. He was very happy when Kai grew up to be a happy young man, though was less than pleased with his slacking.
When the Rescue Aqua gear came out of development around ’07, he made a recommendation for Kai to be on the team, as he had noticed his adopted son’s apparent love for the water. His wise was granted, and he also was appointed captain of the team to his surprise, but he accepted the promotion graciously, and has led the team since, though not much has happened.

Sample RP: Mikel sat in his office, looking at various documents pertaining to the upkeep of the Dive Phoenix and the newest statistics for further armor tests. He looked up after reading a test report, and noticed that the picture he had on his desk of him and Kai after Kai won a swimming competition when he was 16 against several UFDA workers, all of whom were self-professed great swimmers. Mikel looked at the picture and smiled, remembering, then set the picture back in it's original position.
He checked the clock on the wall, which read 9:48. He sighed, and went back to work. 3 more hours until lunch. he thought to himself, thoroughly looking forward to seeing Kai pig out while everyone watched with the same stupefied gaze.
