It hurt, it hurt like Hell. Sakura was barely coherent now, after that battle with the other Enviii, and Arthur and Hathaway. She felt light headed and woozy and ... and ...
She couldn't think straight, she knew Ren was on her side but other than that? Nothing.
But she'd flown.
She'd used the wings to fly. She remembered that much.

Sitting there in the darkness, he wasn't sure what to tell her. Should he tell her everything? That might make her worry, if she knew of what he would have spoken of. Was he best off just giving her the partial story?
Probably, but he didn't like that option either. But it was better than seeing her like this, and making her worry if he told it all.
"I...found people to help you," he said quietly.

"... What sort of people?" She asked.

"Scientists, I guess you could say," he said, figuring that was the best way to put it.

Sakura paused.
"Do you trust them?" She asked him.

No.
"Enough," he said.

No. No. That didn't sound right. He'd say if he trusted them. He didn't think they'd help did he. Sakura got up and then moaned in pain as the wings on her back stuttered and creaked.
She didn't have a choice ...
"Okay ... if you trust them," She breathed.

He held out his hand to her, "Let's go and see them," he said quietly, "Let's remove that burden from you."

Sakura stood up, wobbling under the weight of the wings. They clicked and twisted and folded onto her back. She swallowed and stumbled towards Ren.

He reached out for her, "I'll help you," he offered.

Sakura took hold of Ren's hand and stepped forward.

He led her outside where there was a truck waiting for the sake of getting them there more discreetly. Two men in white clothes stood with the back of it open.
"It'll be fine," Ren assured her as they walked. If their situations reversed, he wouldn't feel very good about this site.

"O- okay ... I trust you," Sakura said.
All the same she gripped Ren's hand a bit tighter.

Ren led her inside while they shut the back. One got in back with them while the other went up front.
He looked at the wings, "It should be a simple fix," he commented.

"... They're clockwork wings created by a twisted sick f*ck who based his designs off of an indecipherable codex written by a Tudor scientist ..." Sakura said.
It was meant to sound sarcastic, but instead it just sounded bitter and angry.
