Overview: You wouldn’t expect Richard Brook to be one of the greatest criminal minds the world has ever known. He’s camp, he likes lollipops and his ringtone is Caramelldansen. But behind the facade is a scheming mind that’s already thought of five different ways to turn what’s happening now into a lucrative investment (Or a more lucrative one).
However, even though he is good at making money his main interest isn’t economic viability, it’s how much fun he can have watching the effects of his sale. He likes to see the chaos and disaster that happens after he’s just sold someone a Gaia Memory and watching everyone rush about like headless chickens.
“Hero” Stuff
Name: “The Merchant”
Type Of Hero: A guy in a suit (Though he has a Dopant Form)
Henshin Device: Mirror Gaia Memory and an XP (Express) bio-port on his right arm. The main difference between an XP-port is that it works to a time limit and forcibly ejects the memory after five minutes to prevent mental or physical degeneration.
Henshin Sequence: Richard raises his right hand, and presses the button on his Gaia Memory (Which then calls out “MIRROR”). He places the memory in his hand and transforms into the mirror dopant in a way similar to the Mirror World riders. Images of the dopant appear around him and “overlap” on top of each other.
Forms:
- Form Name: Mirror Dopant
Image/ Description: Image. Richard’s Dopant form is similar to a mirror rider (Such as Ryuki or Knight) in that it’s undersuit is a latex-like material with ridges and kneepads that “Lock on” to other equipment. It has a large silver and gold chest plate and circular semidomes with a mirror on each side over each arm. A kilt of mirror plates surround his waist. Two yellow eyes look out through a metal plate on his face.

Fighting Style: Richard is a coward. His fighting style involves trickery and dodging, very little direct contact. Especially since his XP port limits his ability.
Weapons: Richard has no weapons in this form.
Abilities: The Mirror memory allows it’s user a multitude of powers. Peter can travel through reflective surfaces very quickly, he can “Bounce” between mirrors as long as they reflect each other (Think the reflection scene in Bladerunner).
One of Richard’s more dangerous abilities is the power to absorb energy attacks into the mirrors on his body and then reflect them back through a different mirror, however physical attacks like punches, kicks or bullets just shatter the mirror.
He can also become a mirror image of one of his opponents, or even a regular human. This copy cannot do anything the original can, unless Richard is able to do it as well, and still sounds like Richard.
The Mirror Dopant can enter the mirror world and is also able to control weak minded Mirror Monsters until he returns to human form.
It also allows him to create copies of himself, the copies lack any of the above abilities.
His XP Port limits him to five minutes of operational time.
Finisher(s): Another effect of the XP Port allows Richard to use a Memory Break. By pressing down on his right hand his Gaia Memory announces a Maximum Drive and he jumps forward a punch or kick that connects with his target traps them inside one of his mirrors.
The drawbacks of this are that the imprisoned party can walk about in his head and can be freed if one of his mirrors is shattered.
Other Equipment:
- An iphone, the most used ap is one he developed that has the prices and data on various gaia memories. The second most used is Robot Unicorn Attack.
- Lots of rare and dangerous gaia memories Gaia Memories, that he sells including Berserk, Dragon, Synchronisation, Rumplestiltskin, Feasibility, Broadcast, Chaos and even the mysterious Kamen Rider memory ...
- Lollipops, he usually has one in his mouth.
History
Richard Brook, alias Reichen Bach, alias The Merchant is one of the most dangerous men alive. There’s no Freudian excuse for it, he had a nice family, supportive parents, both married, two sisters, one big brother. He did well in school, exceptionally well even.
When he was 20 he managed to get himself a job in Clarke Industries, and gradually got more and more involved in the production and administration of Gaia Memories. It was around the time that he was given the job of making sure that the more powerful memories were destroyed that his parents mysteriously vanished.
The police found the house untouched with nothing missing, although every mirror had been shattered. The police were baffled. Richard took advantage of the “situation” at work to smuggle out a few Gaia Memories that he’d saved. Then he took to the streets with a good supply of powerful Memories and all the equipment he needed to make a killing.
Both literally and metaphorically.

The boy looked over his shoulder and pointed to himself awkwardly. Richard sighed and rolled his eyes.
”No the other kid on the street, yes you!”
The teenager looked around to make sure no one was there and then came up to Richard. The man handed him a red lollipop and put it back inside his jacket.
“You look down, what is it? Girl troubles?” Richard asked.
“Um … no,”
“Boy troubles?”
“No … Who are you?” The boy asked looking around and hoping someone was there.
“I’m starting something up,” He said “Just wondered if you’d be interested in a little bit of work experience is all,”
The boy frowned again.
“What … what kind of work?” He asked.
Richard smirked and handed him a case …
”Consider it as retail,” He grinned.
