Dylan's expression dropped like a rock. "Oh god.... Well, this is the kind of thing you wouldn't have been able to predict anyway. I mean, how would you know that breaking the code would trigger the bombs? How could you have known there were bombs in the first place?" Dylan asked.

"If we hadn't rushed, we could have figured it out," Thoma said, "Right, Fifth?"
"That is correct. But neither of us thought to dig that deep."
"And now they're dead because of it...," Thoma muttered.

Dylan had no idea what to think about what had just happened. He wanted to console Thoma, and arrest him for manslaughter at the same time. He paused, unsure of what to do.

"Fifth," he held his hand out. The Braver leapt up, into compact mode into his hand. He put him on his belt, "We're going," he told Dylan. If he was going to do anything, it would have to be now.
