Building Under Seige [Open]

[Thoma Hirako]

The lobby was closing down; gates falling. Soon nobody would be able to get in, but nobody could get out right now as it was. Thoma crept in before it fully sealed, pulling Fifth out of his waist pouch for the phone, "Where's the target?" he asked the phone.

"By my calculations, the signal is coming from the sixth floor," Fifth answered.

"Elevators down, I imagine?" he asked.

"It would seem that way," Fifth replied.

Thoma rose and closed Fifth, putting him back, "Ok then. Stairs," he hurried that way, but stopped when Fifth beeped.

"I am detecting high levels of an unknown substance," he reported.

"What sort of substance?" he asked his phone.

"Poisonous."

Thoma didn't say anything; he just bolted up the stairs.

Dylan leapt onto the roof, already transformed, and blew the lock on the roof access with the D-Knuckle, then opened the door, entering the stairwell. He closed the door behind him, and walked in slowly, looking around and checking corners. He was glad he had already transformed, as there appeared to be some sort of toxic substance nearby. He worked his way down the stairwell, maintaining caution.

Thoma stumbled to a stop when he saw a gas. A visible gas.

"Don't go that way."

"I know," he told his Braver, throwing Fifth into it. Fifth deployed, landing amongst it, "Analyze it!" He threw the Boost Phone, Medic. It was often for computer viruses and the like, but it could be used here as well, he hoped.

As soon as Fifth pulled the equipment on, he scanned, "Two minutes of exposure is lethal to a healthy human."

He nodded, waiting for Fifth to come back, "Great, where do I go now? I'm stuck."

Dylan turned a corner, then immediately retreated back behind it. He saw Thoma and Fifth standing there, though he wasn't exactly sure what Fifth was. He formed the D-Spread, and came out again, pointing it at Thoma and yelling "Freeze!"

Thoma glanced back, "Deka?" he asked, laughing a bit, "Didn't see that coming."

[Dylan Carson]

"Why are you in here?" Dylan asked Thoma.

[Thoma Hirako]

"Same reason as you," he said, "I'm a former Deka, and this is my new job. Stop this crime."

[Dylan Carson]

"You were a Deka? Then what are you doing with... whatever that is?" Dylan asked, breaking apart the D-Spread and putting away the pieces, then gesturing at Fifth.

[Thoma Hirako]

"There's another division of SPD called Under Anchor," he said, "This is the tool we have."

[Dylan Carson]

"Never heard of it." Dylan said.

[Thoma Hirako]

"That's probably good, rather classified," he said, "But I have more important things to do than this. Lives to save," he said.

[Dylan Carson]

"Exactly what I'm doing as well." Dylan said. "Any idea how the poison stuff got in here?"

[Thoma Hirako]

"Whoever took over this building is pumping in the poison. I think he's holding these people for ransom. But I doubt he's actually here; just controlling things remotely."

[Dylan Carson]

"Well, that'll complicate things." Dylan said.

[Thoma Hirako]

"We just need to find his computer and we'll have him," Thoma said.
