I have news! I'm doing something called the Extended Project Qualification (Despite everyone else's advice to the contrary). You either do a ... thing, like make a film or a motor or a sword (Yeah someone made a katana out of broken car pieces that were outside the school). Or write a 5000 word essay.
So I want to know which idea you like best:
A 5000 word essay on how tokusatsu is adapted from Japanese to Western culture.
OR
A 1000 word essay on tokusatsu in general accompanied with a possibly crappily made video that I don't think will help.
OR
A mixture of the two.

Aye, I think it'll be the most useful since I want to do Japanese and if I come in with "Oh look I have this big qualification I got for writing about how Japanese stuff is adapted to the West" it might be better than "Me and my friends p*ss*d about with spandex".
I may have to expand it to anime and video games as well since tokusatsu is a narrow field ...
