McKenzie got up and went to the door, finding it unable to open. She sighed and went over to look at the window, but it was too high...
"Why Mezool?" she asked softly to herself.
The receptionist looked to her as she came, "Yes?"

McKenzie could have transformed and gone out the window, but she didn't want to. She was hurting from the fall, so she just fell onto the bed, tearing up a little. Not at memories of being a prisoner of Vector, or of Mezool locking her up like this.
Of Mezool refusing her the chance to try to find and help Joseph. She was sure she could change him.

When Mezool arrived, Joseph was still unconcious. She looked around quickly and she picked up the O Driver, looking over it. She had seen how it worked.
She stood up, picking up the Uva O Card and slotting it into the O Luster, firing it. She stifled a scream as the armour formed and she fell to her knees after it did. She felt like she was being torn apart. Breathing heavily, she picked up Joseph, the Batta Leapers activating. She moaned in pain as her leg structure changed. She couldn't understand how Joseph did it so easily.
She staggered forward, shying away from the lampposts as she made her way back to their hotel room, bringing Joseph inside, nodding to McKenzie as she, still armoured jumped down onto the street and cancelled her transformation, getting back up to their room with a nod of thanks to the receptionist.
She dragged aside the small table and unlocked the door, walking inside and falling into an armchair, clearly exhausted.

"Mezool...why did you do this?" she asked, looking at Joseph, and then turning to look at her, "I...I wouldn't have thought you would want to bring him..."

"I can't let you go." Mezool said, looking unwell. She held up the O Driver, the O Luster clutched firmly in her other hand. She groaned and sank into the chair.
Joseph was in an awkward position, but he was still fully unconcious.

She ran over to Mezool as best as she could, "Mezool?" she grabbed Mezool, "Are you ok? Mezool?" she asked worriedly.

Mezool nodded, but she was swaying a little.
Joseph awoke soon after, his hand going for where his O Luster should have been. Mezool raised it up, pointing the small gun at him.

She turned to see Joseph rising, and used her hand to lower the Luster away from him, so Mezool wouldn't do anything they might regret.

Mezool lowered the gun, but kept a firm grip on it. She still wasn't entirely comfortable with him being here.
