It is the year 2017 A.D. Humanity has finally managed to harness other forms of power, the most prominent being hydrogen and oxygen, derived from water. Unfortunately, we have also run out of space on land, and have taken to the ocean in massive ship-colonies known as Fakelands, anchoring them in the ocean and making them into artifical islands. The largest and most prominent among these is the HMS Canaline, or as it is now known, Canaline Island. The city houses upward of 800,000 , and the main mode of transportation around the city is an intricate series of canals, working like roads.
Our colonization of the sea has also awoken things best left sleeping. The Four Kings of the Sea, powerful water deities, each from a separate mythology of the world, have risen, and wish to take back what is rightfully theirs (the ocean) by destroying the Fakelands, and also wish to expand the ocean so the Earth is dominated by the sea. Their first target is the worst offender, Canaline Island.
As they lay siege, however, they are pushed back, by a powerful human in the armor of Neptune, their traitorous brother who wished to help the humans. This human defends Canaline from the advances of the Kings, and has sworn to defend the city or die in the attempt.
The main (and only, though that may change) rider, Neptune, is themed on water and lightning, and is key-based, with Keys for his four forms, and 8 Keys for attacks. His forms are Neptune, Storm, Typhoon, and Hurricane, and he is able to walk on water, breathe underwater, and swim at high speeds.
I got this idea in science class, and I plan on most of the battles taking place either on the surface of the water in the canals or in the open ocean. I thought it would be a cool idea to have a water rider defending a canal city, so this idea was born.
