Overview: Shotaro is a half-boiled man through and through, despite what he likes to tell himself. For about a few years since the Begins Night incident which cost him both his mentor and his partner, Shotaro was left pretty broken. However, after a seemingly chance encounter, he gained the closure he needed and has become his old self once more, which is a very emotional and headstrong man; one truly fit to be both a detective and the protector of Fuuto.

History
From a young age, Shotaro had always idolized Sokichi Narumi, going as far as to become his mentor when he was 18. While he helped Sokichi on various small cases, his destiny changed with Begins Night, the incident that claimed his mentor's life, and made him a Rider for the first time. Fighting off the Masquerade Dopants, he managed to get his Mentor's body to safety, and swore vengeance on Museum.
For a while then, he began fighting off Dopants in Fuuto as Kamen Rider Joker, encountering other Memory users that brutally reminded him of his losses in the past, even former members of Museum, Kirihiko and Wakana. When he found out about Museum's destruction, he had finally laid the past to rest, putting a new outlook on life as he continues to fight for his city as a Kamen Rider.

Sample RP: Shotaro sat at his desk, typewriter in front of him. It had been a while since he had wrote something, but now was as good a time as any; he decided to write about the events that happened within the past year. Taking a deep breath, he placed his fingers on the keys and began to type down the first words.
After almost twelve hours of almost nothing but typing (he had taken breaks to get food, of course), he had finally reached the last page; it was coincidentally also his last piece of paper. He smiled at the work he put in, finalizing the final page with the words "CASE CLOSED". He removed the last piece of paper from the typewriter and placed it on top of the large stack of pages he had written before looking at the door; specifically, his Mentor's hat. "Rest well, oya-san," Shotaro said, before yawning and heading to bed. Tomorrow would be the start of a brand new day...
