Alright, me and my friends tried Dungeons And Dragons once. Once. There are too many rules, we got scared and scampered off. But I just found something called Microlite20. It basically condenses the rules into less than 1100 words and simplifies the Hell out of them. Plus it's easy to add stuff to it (Check the link to " Microlite20 Macropedia" at the bottom). Even better it's totally free. If you like Tabletop Roleplaying then give this a good once over. Now I had an idea: What say we make a tokusatsu adaption for it? Any ideas.

This is a pretty cool idea. Count me on board. Now then, rules...

Well I was thinking that we just make a few different classes up for starters. Something to represent riders, something to represent rangers and ... well anything else we can think of.

Let's see...I've got my 4th edition D&D players handbook here. Just to me, it makes more sense if Riders, Rangers etc took the place of the races, and you got "racial powers" depending on what kind of hero your character was. That way, we can have different heroes with a variety of combat roles.

I've always wanted to get in on D&D. I'm in. I like Sohn's idea, but it seems tough to pull off. All of the Riders and Rangers have different powers, it would be tough to try and generalize them.

The standard way of splitting up powers is "The three M's".
Mechanised heroes are powered through technology. (Dekaranger, Kamen Rider G3) Magical heroes gain their powers through mystical means. (Magiranger, Kamen Rider Agito) Mutated heroes have powers based on genetic mutations and are usually monstrous (Kamen Rider Gills).
But yeah it's tough to generalise =/

3.5 would be a better D&D handbook reference than 4.0.

There were several classes of Riders which are fairly general.
Earth Tech (Human technology), Mystic Tech (Ancient technology stuff), Mystic and there were two others...
But I don't know much about this, so yeah.

Sure, there's classes, but their abilities aren't generalized enough. For example, G3 and IXA (only two examples I could think of). Both are "Earth-tech" riders, but they have differing abilities.

And then there's riders like W, Decade or Kabuto who have technological powers with massive differences from those like IXA, Faiz and G3 =/
Anyway, what I'm using for reference are a few 3.5 sourcebooks a lot of GURPS stuff and a few independent system games (Dark Heresy and Edgewalkers to name a couple). My main reference here is Microlite20 because it's easy.
