History
Maria was born in New York city to a dedicated police officer of the NYPD, she never wanted to be a police officer at first wanting to be a simple citizen, however her father pushed her to be a police officer like him while her mother supported Maria’s ambition, this caused friction within the family and it only subsided when Maria finally relented and told her father that she would be a police officer like him.
Years of her childhood were spent on memorizing the law, learning martial arts, and basically learning everything a police officer would learn during their time in the Academy. Maria hated this and she detested her father for doing this to her, however that all changed when her father was killed in the line of duty…killed by an Orphenoch. This changed Maria as she worked harder to become a police officer with the goal of destroying every non-human species on the planet as she hated them.
Time quickly rushed past and soon Maria became an NYPD officer but her dreams of destroying Kaijins were put on hold when she discovered that although people knew about the existence of the Kaijins they could not do anything about them since they did not have the technology to defeat them. Then one day Maria received a strange radio call from her patrol car and she went to investigate before a bright light shone on her and when she woke up she found that she had a strange bracelet on that she couldn’t take off as she decided that something must’ve happened to her as she went off on her way unaware that she had already become a Ranger destined to defeat Crow’s Eye.

Sample RP: “All units be advised that suspect is on foot and is heavily armed” the dispatcher said as Maria sighed, when was there a time that the suspect wasn’t heavily armed? It sounded like something out of a movie…then again her work was all about weapons and criminals and those two came hand-in-hand.
It was frustrating that people thought that police officers only catch criminals that don’t pose a threat to the public, leaving others for ‘higher’ agencies such as the FBI or the NSA but Maria could prove them wrong as she had caught plenty of criminals that wanted to either blow up a building or cause a mass massacre. It was an exciting job and she could see why her father loved his job, she just wished he wasn’t killed by those filthy Kaijins, “Roger advised” Maria said as she revved up her patrol car and went off to catch that criminal.
