Anything Else?
Inner Stuff
Likes:
- The job of saving others
- Having the means to save so many more people now
- Professionalism
Dislikes:
- Having to fight demons. He’s a rescue worker, after all
- People not being professional in the line of work, or even outside of work. Jokesters and non-serious people annoy him
- He kind of dislikes being a Ranger. He’d rather have a grounded reality; the events in the world, and what he’s doing, are detrimental to that
Strengths:
- He’s very good at what he does; he’ll risk himself to make sure everyone gets out alive, and it works
- He’s smart. He did architectural study when he was in training, so he has a fairly good grasp of layouts for saving lives
- He may not like fighting, but he’s pretty good with his close ranged weaponry
Weaknesses:
- Crap shot
- He often ignores the fight for lives in danger. Good, but that means that the enemy can kill more. He can’t break this cycle he sets himself into
- He’s not too interested in the “superhero” side of things, which may or may not put him at odds with some teammates (no idea yet, subject to change this one)
Goal(s):
- Save lives
Habits/ Quirks:
- Ignoring his Morpher completely in a fight. Sure, demons, etc. are not ordinary, but he still tends to forget the Morpher since he doesn’t care for this living fantasy
Relationships:
- Henley Cooper – ally
Overview:
Rick is a man who takes his job seriously, often ignoring the more fantasy side of things. He doesn’t like to remember that in this world there are monsters and heroes; he just wants to do his job. As such he often ignores his technology down to his Morpher and will just do things normally, as he would during a normal rescue, causing problems sometimes by ignoring the enemy completely. He doesn’t like people who don’t take things seriously, especially not in the line of work involving rescue and saving lives. But also in general, anyone he would normally meet. When he does fight he’s good with close ranged weapons, and is an expert rescuer.

History
He was born in New York City to parents who were both involved in helping people. His mother was an EMT while his father was a firefighter. He grew up with one parent or the other, never really both of them together. As he went through grade school he started to care about that when he saw other students having proper families.
When he asked his parents about this, they told him about their roles to the public. He started to understand how the lives they had chosen for themselves, and wanted that for himself, looking up to both of them in a new way now.
As he continued to grow, he started to realize that they shouldn’t have brought a child into the world if they had lives like they did. He started to wonder about that, and wondered why they would have him. He grew a bit more distant from his parents after starting to think about this. He still chose to follow their paths, however.
When he was in college he started to look into being a firefighter, going through training. He became one two years later after completing his training and degree. He was good, having it in his blood, so to speak. He saved everyone he could, losing only one life due to an explosion during the fire when a propane tank exploded late, killing the last occupant. He had the drive to succeed, or not face his parents as a man, as a rescue worker.
After the destruction of Lightspeed and the deaths of some of their important personnel, Rick was recruited for his performance records. He became the new Blue Brigade Ranger for the organization, choosing to use this new position to keep saving lives, and do what he started to believe he was born to do: save lives.
