Emily's flailing arms would go around Ayane, the closest stable thing there, but she lost her pretty strong grip a little and fell to her knees, the side of her head resting against her stomach. Ayane had indeed caught her new friend, who was unfortunately a bit of a klutz.

"Sorry!" Emily exclaimed in English as she was helped to her feet, before taking a deep breath and trying that again, "I'm...alright.....gomen, I'm a real klutz sometimes." she said, this time in the native tongue.

"Thank you." Emily said, awkwardly letting go of Ayane. Something tugged at the edge of her psyche, but she pushed it away mentally. "How far do we need to go? I've had a long flight...and this is my first time really going away from my home..."

"I think I will need you a lot at first." Emily said, innocently meaning one thing, "And I thank you for your help, I wasn't...and still am not quite sure what I'm getting into since my brother told me to do this, but I'll try...even if I am a rebel sometimes." she said, a bit tired as she spoke.

Now that honestly surprised Emily....and touched her a bit...that this woman would do that for her....it wasn't like she could rebel much here, she'd already followed her brother's wishes...and now she was going to have to follow what was asked of her at the Shiba house....but she would find ways to 'rebel' so to speak...to show she had an identity all her own...that Emily...was Emily.
