Overview:
Mujaki is a sweet, kind Oni, an innocent woman, despite the name she has taken on. She loves animals, finding them cute, synonymous with innocence. She also likes to challenge herself, doing puzzles to achieve that end. Any sort of puzzle or mind game, really. It helps her to create illusion spells, she finds. She likes being a spellcaster, and enjoys learning new tricks to use. She’s good with tactics, always thinking about what to do next. Due to her weaker physical abilities, she’s developed a strong survival instinct to carry her through the fighting.
She has a dislike of snakes and similar animals, finding them to be an abomination against the types of animals she does like. She also doesn’t care for physical combat, because of her weaker body, finding that she’s best off winning if she’s using her spells or ranged attacks. She also hates traitors, despite few going to the Rosutoni side anymore. She has some trouble with her finishing attack, as it takes time to set up, but she enjoys her unique weapon, and the short term fixes it gives her, such as stunning with her voice.
Hero Stuff
Name: Mujaki
Type Of Hero: Oni
Henshin Device: Maiku Onka
Henshin Sequence: Mujaki pulls down on her wrist mounted transformation device, revealing a small microphone-like piece that was concealed. She lets out any vocalization into it, sending sound waves slowly drifting off of the Onka. She lifts it to her forehead, and thrusts her arm up as her Oni emblem appears. Waves of wind and sound cover her body, forming her Oni body.
Forms:
- Form Name: Mujaki
Image/ Description: Mujaki
Motif: Oni, snake
Color Scheme: Black, white, red
Transformation: See above
Fighting Style: Mujaki values distance over anything. She uses her whip for a longer reach, occasionally mixing in short bursts off of her microphone to stun an enemy. However, she mostly uses spells to fight.
Weapons: OngekiOnkyou Sunekeifon; her microphone weapon. It acts like a whip, which is coiled on her right hip. The end is a microphone for her Ongeki attacks. The whip can become solid to be used as a staff, or for her finishing attacks.
Abilities: She can deploy claws that are nearly unbreakable, heal her Oni form with concentration, and is stronger, faster and more resilient than a human by far. She is also adept at Oni spells, mostly illusion spells for the sake of letting her get into range with her whip, but a few higher leveled spells for pure offense are also at her command.
Finisher(s): Ongeki Onkyou Funka Yoin; she stabilizes her whip into a stand, draws her buckle off and plunges it into the ground, then puts the stand into it. She lets out continued vocalizations into the microphone, releasing a tremor through the ground to freeze the target in place as the sound rips through them from the microphone.
Other Equipment:
- Various Takeshi vehicles
- Disc Animals
History
Mujaki grew up as Kaoru Fukui and lived in a family of Takeshi supporters. That’s all they had ever been, from parent to child, on her father’s side. They were forbidden from becoming Oni due to a congenital heart disorder that her great, great grandfather had. He was the first to join Takeshi, and from then on, his descendents did as well. This disorder continued to pass genetically, until Kaoru, who also had it. The disorder prevented them from becoming Oni due to the strain. Kaoru didn’t want to accept that, after being saved by Shuki one day when she was young.
She began to work for Takeshi, shadowing other support members for a few years, secretly training her body to try to become an Oni on her own. It didn’t work. Eventually, when she was fifteen, she was discovered by the former Mujaki, who saw her determination and drive. This Mujaki also had problems, as she had lost her child in the womb, and her family had a tradition of passing down the title of Mujaki and Jaki to men and women respectively. Without an heir, the Mujaki name would die with her, and she didn’t want that. She said that if Kaoru truly wanted to be an Oni, that she would help.
Together they began to train. It took a few years for Kaoru to be able to transform, but she achieved it. Before that she started to learn spells for her own sake, and to try to gauge the strain on her heart and body. It wasn’t too bad, but it was a pain. She put up with it, until Mujaki learned a new spell from Shuki, which she taught to Kaoru.
Kaoru began to use this new spell to keep her body stabilized, to overcome her heart disorder. She became a normal Oni after that, secretly using this spell to keep herself going, while performing her normal support duties until age twenty three, when she was truly ready, and she told her parents of her choice. They were angry, but understanding, especially since she had overcome the weakness given to her.
She ended up becoming a formal Oni for Takeshi, taking on the Mujaki name and unique microphone weapon. When she was twenty five, she met the younger brother of the former Mujaki, the man who would become Jaki. She helped to train him, along with Kyoki, but Kyoki started to take over his training after a year, since the saber was a weapon he had more experience in, being unique. It was unique, like the microphone, but different entirely, putting Mujaki out of her league here.
Over the next few years she met other Oni and support personnel, becoming their friends and allies. She started to go out into missions, becoming a skilled Oni in the way of spells, possibly being the next Shuki, some said. She is also the only Oni to currently use a microphone as her weapon.
She currently serves Takeshi in Japan.

"I'll be fine," Zanki said, not looking back. He continued on into the forest, until he saw a fairly familiar sight, “…Mujaki?”
She smiled and nodded, “Zanki-san,” she said, “I’m surprised you remember me.”
“Yeah. Well, microphone. Unique; how could I forget?”
“I’m a human,” she said.
“Your face too.”
“Stop.”
“Fine,” he smiled.
She noticed his necklace, “You’re saying that, and yet you wear that openly right now?”
“…yeah, I just need to take my mind away from it. You’re not helping anymore,” he told her.
“I’m sorry,” she apologized, sincere about it, “But…why are you away from them? Don’t you have a team out here?”
“I do,” he said, “I needed some time alone.”
“I’m sorry for intruding,” she said.
“Don’t be…you’re a spell user, right?”
“A good one,” she said, finding that there was a difference.
“I need your help,” he stated.
“About what?”
“You cured your heart disease to let you be an Oni,” he stated, “I want you to heal my body. So I can fight properly again.”
“Zanki-san, what you propose is very dangerous. The heart is vital, but small. The entire body…I might be able to help some of it, but you’d be strained if I couldn’t keep it all even, and you would possibly die in the process.”
“Just please…I need your help, Mujaki,” he pleaded, tucking the necklace back in as a solemn reminder of what his body caused, of what he wanted to be able to fix.
“…ok,” she whispered, “I’ll help you. Just…come with me.”
He gave her a small smile, “Thank you, Mujaki. I owe you so much for this.”
“Don’t mention it,” she said, “We Oni have to help each other, right?”
“Right.”
