Raiden is calm and composed, as he sees that he must be in order to be a proper warrior for justice. If he would lose himself, he feels he can’t do good any longer. He has some issues with a temper, such as when facing those who are evolved beyond humanity, but by mystical means. Orphnochs, agitos… He’s willing to do whatever he can for everyone he meets, and is very empathetic to people and their situations. He tries everything to be the best man he can be, for the sake of the people who need Kamen Riders. However, he can go out of control with rage and fear when fighting a mystically evolved being, or an agito especially. An agito brings out the worst in him. He hates talking about the past, and avoids it at all costs. He has nobody in life, and is very lonely, searching for a proper way to do good in the world, as opposed to how he’s working now.

Henshin Sequence: He draws up a small rounded Driver with the center covered with the turbine of the belt. He puts it on his waist, letting the belt spin out to become complete. It begins to spin, sucking in water from either a nearby source, or from the moisture in the air. When enough is in, it stops, spewing out a sort of liquid that covers Raiden’s body, forming his armor. His Henshin stance is that he pulls his right arm up and angled out, partially to his left; bending it slightly at the elbow, and bracing his left hand, bent towards his elbow, against his elbow with the back of the left hand. He has his right fingers curled a bit during this. It serves no purpose.

Raiden was born to modest parents who weren’t the best off financially, along with one sister and one brother. They were happy, however, as they all had each other. His parents taught him and his siblings to appreciate the simpler things, and to be just good, upstanding people. Raiden took this to heart, and was taken pity on by a local teacher.
He spent time with that teacher, learning, and he would teach his siblings what he could. They weren’t a poor family, but they didn’t have much, so no education, unfortunately, as much as it pained his parents. The siblings appreciated it very much.
One day, Sakurai was at the teacher’s house, when he was eleven years old. When he came home, he found his parents on the ground, his father ripped open by claws, his mother screaming. He saw his sister standing there, some sort of mutating creature – an agito – and his brother was also slowly changing. His mother was changing, but not as fast. The sister killed her. The brother and sister turned on each other as rampaging agitos, eventually killing each other, as he would find out days later when he went back, after being in shock and fear.
He remained in the house for another three days before the teacher came to look into why he hadn’t been around. The police came, but didn’t believe him. They didn’t know what happened, as they were human again in death, and no Agito Seeds present. Raiden left home and lived on the streets, unable to properly cope with everything.
He was found by Vector, who modified him into a Kaizo Ningen, working on the Aqua Driver, based on the newest Shocker Kaizo Ningen years later; Hopper. Based on Hopper, he escaped before Kiriha broke free of his conditioning, and went on, finding a way to live, using his enhanced body and acts of kindness to get farther in life. It was the kindness of people that helped him at first, and his body and what he could do later.
He encountered another agito; a parent to a young child. He befriended the young child over the course of a few days, impressing him as a Rider. When the father became an agito, he was forced to protect the child and use his powers as Aqua to slaughter it. The child began to transform, forcing Raiden, against his will, to make the kill, scarring him even more. It began to rain during that fight, making him truly realize that he was a Crying Hero.
When he learned of the Rider Army, arriving late to a battle he had been near, he decided to seek them out, to take down Vector.

“Get out of my head!” Raiden screamed in the night, grabbing his head with his right hand. He shook a bit as he tried to calm himself, get a calmer state of mind. He was no good like this; constantly remembering the pain, the death, the suffering of his past.
He had suffered. Felt pain. Inflicted death. But none deserved any of this that had happened. None of them…they were all victims of something beyond their control. Something that should never exist; the power to become beings beyond man.
He rose from his sleeping bag and looked around. Nobody had been nearby to hear, not this far into the forest. He checked his bike, making sure that he could ride it out in the morning, to quickly be on his way and to try to reach the Army as fast as he could. If he couldn’t get to them in the morning, he would have to spend weeks tracking them down again. If he had to, he’d get gas this night, but he was fine.
He inhaled the fresh, cool air of night in the forest. He looked up at the sky. It was black tonight, but…it fit well enough for the memories that came to him.
“Light up,” he whispered to the sky, “Please…”
But it didn’t. He feared he would have more dreams of those he lost.
