Got an idea for a new roleplaying forum... And partially from a video game, yes. Glu's new game, 'the nightworld'. (Lowercase intentional)
Basically, twenty years ago the sun was more or less snuffed out, clouds filling the sky. Eath is now reduced to a concrete sandpit. No government, no light, no food. How humanity was destroyed is a secret nobody really knows. Now, gangs dominate the cities and lone wolves find food wherever they can - What a rat would turn down is a feast. Killing has become a second nature to most, and with Cresent Moon trying to gain control of the underground (All that's left, really) the world is an eclipse of blood and lead and life is a fight for survival.
The roleplay would involve NPCs for gangs, informers and the like, but the players would join pre-existing gangs, fight on their own, form alliances and whatever. They could interact as they want, whether it be migrating to a different city, taking out a target, stealing food or scavenging for anything they could use.
What do you guys think? It'll be a post/mid-apocalyptic world that revolves solely around the players.
