Overview:
Habataki is a bit of a vain man, but he’s dedicated to the Oni cause. He’s pretty smart and quick, clever, with a taste for some of the finer things, such as wine, and clothing. He likes to try to remain fashionable, but knows how difficult the places he has to go are. So he’s stubborn. He loves fruit for the juices; the liquids, and loves drinking as well; anything, really, but usually water or wine. He despises eating of any sort of bird, due to his Oni form. He favors speed over anything else, figuring that it can win faster than strength and slowness, even if his physical powers are rather weak, he has his wind to back himself up with. He’s well trained, but relies heavily on his wind power. As an Oni, he’s considered a bit prodigal due to his upbringing, and his transformation abilities to harness his powers through a different device than he should be using, which partially evidence his power.

Henshin Sequence: He taps his tuning fork against any hard surface, sending out a reverberation. He lifts it to his forehead, creating his Oni emblem, then erupts into a windstorm and assumes his Oni form.

  Weapons: His trident/staff/flute for melee attacks along with ranged attacks from the flute.
  Abilities: He can fly, and can utilize wind powered attacks.
  
  • Kitoujutsu Senpujin: Habataki charges himself with power, and adds wind power to his punches, chops, and kicks. He is able to defeat various air type Makamou easily with this attack.
    
  • Kitoujutsu Onizume: Forms claws from his hands to stab and slash at Makamou. These claws are nearly unbreakable, thus making them one of Habataki's most useful weapons.
  
  
  Finisher(s): Ongeki Sha Shippu Issen: Habataki inhales deeply then begins blowing through the trumpet. The waves of wind and sound engulf the large Makamou, reacting to the tracking shots fired by Habataki before the initial attack. Finally the trumpet creates a large wave which destroys the Makamou.

History

The son of the former Kabuki and Shuki, he was born to be raised as an Oni, a powerful one at that, due to his parentage. He was raised to be a powerful Oni from birth, with his mother training him in mystical arts, as was her specialty, while his father taught him how to fight and train, as he was better with body than spirit.

Habataki went through life living a normal life one day, then training to be an Oni the next; and this continued on. He enjoyed his Oni training, and gave himself completely over to it, becoming a full Oni, fighting on his own, at age sixteen.

Habataki fought as a prodigal Oni, but life continued to come back to him, making him change a bit more, but not too much. He excelled in wind powers from his mother’s training, and worked on his father’s strength lessons, but came to favor speed over strength, as his Oni form was naturally fast, so he figured his father couldn’t argue. He couldn’t, and passed on his title to another whom he trained for a few years after Habataki became his own Oni.

He currently fights in Japan against the Makamou and Rosutoni; his father retired, his mother an older, retired, yet occasionally active Oni.

Anything Else: He uses the tuning fork since he did in the movie, as well as the fact that he’s a prodigal Oni and can bypass the obvious method, but he can use the Onteki whistle if he wishes.

Sample RP:

He slowed down after running and drew his Onsa, shouting after the Rosutoni that was ahead of him, along with the Bakeneko Makamou. They both turned to see Habataki striking the Onsa against a tree, letting it ring out through the forest.

He lifted it to his forehead, his body flashing in wind. As the tornado died down, he stood as the avian Oni that he was. He lifted his staff/flute up and waited for the enemy Taiko user to approach. He rushed Habataki; but his rush wasn’t fast enough.

Habataki went up into the air and shot forward, spinning his weapon to disarm the other Oni, then licked off a tree, flipped around in the air, and slashed the Rosutoni along the back with his staff powered by his wind abilities, cutting the fallen Oni. He skidded to a stop and flipped his weapon around, using it like a flute. As the Rosutoni turned, it was peppered by Oni Sones; this was the end.

He began to play the flute. The sound rang out, peaceful, sharp yet soft. The resonance caused the Rosutoni to scream out as it exploded. Habataki didn’t stop; he continued to play. This was peace; this music was wondrous.
