Power Rangers Redux's

Since Ren is doing redux of the Kamen Rider's, I'm proposing we do a similar project, except it's not just me, it's whoever wants to contribute. Also, we're adapting the Sentai/Ranger series (just in case you weren't already able to tell by the title of the freakin' thread). Now, one per person please, and they can be either redux's or sequels, which is a new team of people using the same powers. I get SPD. If you want to do one, just post here which one you're doing. Let's get cracking!

I've considered this before. My problem was cast sizing; the Riders work because of the smaller casts; granted, Kabuto had a sizable cast and I have a very good draft/plan for it.

I'd love to get involved, but can't due to my own time constraints on my projects.

I'm probably going to start planning for my new SPD tommorow, but I may take down some names. This is sort of my specialty, because my first fanmades were PR series, so this stuff just flows.

Are you doing this as a retelling, or a reimagining? I need to ask that. The First/Next were reimaginings rather than retellings, and I was just curious what your plans here were.

I'm doing this SPD as a retelling, possibly with or without the psychic powers. Most likely a half and half.

The powers arguably made sense, but should probably be dropped. Either that, or used more often. One or the other; not the middle ground that SPD wavered between (as I recall).

Also, a while back, I had reimagining of Mystic Force, where they didn't just do stupid Disney magic, where they actually used the magic in battle, like the Red Ranger's tossing fireballs. I may actually pick that back up.

I didn't get through much of Magiranger before I got sick of it and quit, but I think Magi did more of that than Mystic Force did.

They did use their powers to do more than create pizzas and animate brooms, but they didn't really have any purely offensive magic that they used outside of Ranger form, like in my reimagining, the Red Ranger snaps his fingers and lights a candle, because the spell codes got annoying after a while.

On second thought, I may do Mystic Force and SPD. I need new names, though. Mystic Force can be "The Magelings" or something along those lines, and SPD is unrenamed.

Okay, so for my SPD plan, I'm making all of the Rangers specialize in different aspects of police work and fighting crime. Like, Pink Ranger is the hostage negotiater, Yellow Ranger is the CSI specialist, and Blue Ranger leads the team. I need a specialty for the Green Ranger, who is a rookie, by the way.
