So, I'm working on an Edgewalkers campaign to try and get my friends into RPing and I need some help. The basic idea of Edgewalkers is your typical Urban Fantasy, the general human population act as normal but in the underworlds and hiding in plain sight is something called "The Edge". The Edgewalkers are beings that live on The Edge; Ghouls, Werewolves, Vampires and Tejcoto. There also exist humans who were lucky/ unlucky enough to get swept up in the dangerous world of bloodsucking bounty hunters and purple-skinned mafioso's. So, my idea is set in Victorian London. Something has happened, young men and women have been found torn to shreds and dumped in the sewers, and it's obvious no human could have done this. The Ghouls (Who see themselves as the police of The Edge) find a private detective who's had dealings with them before and pay him to get to the bottom of this case. The PC's I have include: - A Sherlock Holmes esque detective. All I've settled on is that he's a Scholar (An unpowered human with lot's of knowledge in something, in his case, werewolves)
- His loyal and pretty damn tough partner. I want this guy to be a werewolf (In Edgewalkers werewolves can change at will and don't need a full moon)
- Dr. Henry Jekyll and Dr. Edward Hyde. These two are a "Jekyll And Hyde" (Obviously) A special type of Ghoul that can switch between smarter-than-average human to stronger-than-average ghoul in a flash.
- A girl (Possibly a prostitute? Or a seer?) who's out of her brain on opium and can summon monsters.
I need help with Fleshing out the characters, and deciding what this terrifying threat is. Can you help?

This sounds pretty neat. I may have to check this out myself.

It's bloody fun =3. And it's set in my hometown =P The most interesting bit is how every different species has three different subtypes. - Ghouls
- Ghouls
- Mummies (Wrapped up and bandaged ghouls that don't die)
- Jekyll and Hydes (Ghouls that can change to a human form or a ghoul form)
- Werewolves
- Werewolves
- Civiliseds (Werewolves who "internalise" their wolf half and become angry, super-strong humans)
- Ferals (Werewolves who "internalise" their human half and become massive, hulking animals)
- Vampires
- Vampires
- Banshees (Vampires with a sonic scream ability and hollow bones)
- Denials (Vampires that become like the ones in storybooks who are allergic to garlic, can't cross running water and hate crosses)
- Tejcoto
- Scouts (Monsters who enter the world through areas where belief has worn it thin)
- Shifters (Monsters who take over a humans mind when it starts to crack from stress and/ or fear)
- Stalkers (Monsters who "ride" into the world on a Summoners creature)
- Humans
- Believers ("The power of Christ compels you b*tch!")
- Scholars (No powers, lots of knowledge)
- Summoners (Slightly deranged people who can summon monsters into existence)
- Crossbreeds
- Nosferatu (Ghoul + Vampire)
- Chupacabra (Werewolf + Vampire)
- Sasquatch (Ghoul + Werewolf)
- Wendigo (Ghoul + Werewolf + Vampire)

Forums haven't been updated in ... ever, if you check them I think you'll find that the last guy on was me and it has been for a pretty long time, seriously I had to email my questions to them.
Still haven't got a reply though =P
