I just got back from the midnight release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I have anticipated this game for at least 4 months, and it will be beautiful. Any other Elder Scrolls fanboys, make thyselves known.
FUS RO DAH!

I'm really looking forward to playing it, and will as soon as I get home from visiting my family for Veteran's Day Weekend.

So, dragon's and giants? What is it, like a high-fantasy game?

The basic story is it takes place in Skyrim, which is heavily influenced by Norse and Scandinavian mythology. The character is a Dragonborn, capable of harnessing a power where he says something in the Dragon Language, and it activates a spell. Like for instance, the one I said earlier, Fus Ro Dah, translates to Force Balance Push, which is essentially a wave of concussive force. Meanwhile, the Empire of The Septims is falling apart, causing a civil war in Skyrim. In legend, it was foretold that "when the Sons of Skyrim spill their own blood, the dragons will return." That has happened, and the God of Destruction from Skyrim mythology, Alduin, has tagged along with the dragons, and he is the villain.

You know, the only break where one eats turkey, or at least the one that occurs first in the year.

I probably have the same reaction to "Thanksgiving" and "Fourth of July" as you do to "Bonfire Night" or "Pancake Day".
