Description: Sakurai often wears good clothing, like button-up shirts in black or white or purple, along with open, skinny suit jackets or open vests. He wears his necklines open and wears skinny ties that are loosely tied. He goes between dress pants and tactical pants, but pretty much always wears black boots, usually motorcycle styled boots. He has a well built body, stands around six feet tall, and usually wears rings and necklaces with various stones and designs. Otherwise, Sakurai wears a dark red or pink kimono/robe like a traditional samurai, wearing a sword at his hip; a reverse blade katana, along with traditional samurai wear, sandals, etc.

His is reverse bladed, with the blade on the inside and the dull on the outside, where a blade usually is. His special technique with his disk is called “Hanafubuki”, falling cherry blossoms. He spins his disk, flips his sword to point it up, and flames rain down on an enemy, like falling cherry blossoms.
- Dancing Blade, his personal weapon spawned from one of his disks on his ShinkenMaru. It’s a sword hilt, but with six blades spreading out; top, bottom, two on the right, angled up and down, and mirrored on the left. The blades can snap back along the hilt to rest along the arm. It’s an easy weapon to spin around.
- ShodoPhonecapable of drawing whatever he wants with the kanji and creating it out of her Mojikara, including attacks and weapons.
Abilities: Increased strength, speed and resilience as a Senshi. Mojikara manipulation.

Zord:
- He carries a small blackish-green Origami in a pentagon shape, with no specific kanji upon it. By drawing “swarm”’s kanji, he throws the Origami into the air, where it splits into three, becoming the three separate Zords listed below:
- Bat Origami Zord; a large blackish violet Zord, with a larger torso and two widespread wings, along with a sizeable head, unlike an actual bat’s. Two claws hang back as feet. As a Zord, it uses sonar attacks and razor wings, with the claws and teeth.
- Mantis Origami Zord; a large green Zord, standing on two back legs with a fairly slim body and two large mantis claw blades coming off as arms, with a small, proportional head. The Zord uses the blades as its only weapon.
- Wasp Origami Zord; a large yellow and black Zord, with two sets of twin translucent wings. It uses a double pronged stinger, the entire body proportional.
- Kaen ShinkenOh; the Bat is the body, opening the wingspan and drawing the claws up to the chest. Wasp splits in half down the center, the hole closing on both sides. The feet form from the bottom, the stingers, connecting to the bottom of the Bat Zord torso. The Mantis splits in half, the open sides closing, each half becoming an arm, the fingers forming out of the remains of the head on each hand. The blades of the mantis become the primary weapons of the Zord, able to rest through a hole in each arm and spin out for use whenever needed. The Bat wings are for flight, while the Bat head opens into a head, fairly reminiscent of ShinkenOh’s.
Inside Stuff
Personality: Sakurai is a man who is calm, cold and composed at all times. He finds no solace in cruelty of any sort, and won’t tolerate it, especially against those who are younger, women, or weak. He keeps this sense of honor and chivalry always. He will stop at nothing to stop those in his way, keeping a fierce determination. He believes that he is meant to be the head of the Shiba clan, and will do anything to defeat the Shinkengers and his half-sister, Kaoru, but he refuses to kill them, as he believes that murdering humans, even in combat, is wrong, unless they deserve it – murderers, rapists, and so on. He refuses to eliminate those doing their jobs – the Shinkengers. He has no love for the Gedoushu, but works with them to get to his own ends, but refuses to do anything else they ask of him. He has his pride and honor.
He’s very smart and studious, absorbing information at a rapid pace. He doesn’t really like people, and criticizes them a lot for not living up to their expectations – by being beneath him, he believes they fail their parents. He has a high sense of regard for parents and obeying, because of his mother, whom he was raised by, while his father had Kaoru years later, and so never was around, leaving him to learn on his own. He’s a very skilled swordsman with a habit for fighting with his left hand with the blade point-down and his ShinkenMaru being reverse bladed. He has a strong level of Mojikara control, and a lot of Mojikara as well. He likes beauty, and as such, uses his Mojikara mostly for “beautiful” attacks, such as his Hanafubuki attack.
Strengths:
- Combat abilities and Mojikara.
- High intellect and learning abilities.
- Chivalrous, honorable and prideful, keeping it all under control.
Weaknesses:
- Has no love for people; critical of them.
- Working for the Gedoushu. Even if not one of them, and even if he doesn’t like it, it doesn’t excuse the fact that he works for the enemy just to get his proper heritage back.
- The way he fights is actually a handicap unto himself, because of the reverse blade and the point-down attacks he uses.
History: Sakurai was born four years before Kaoru to the seventeenth head of the Shiba clan and a woman he had fallen in love with. His father left after leaving behind information for Sakurai to be raised on for how to fight and use his Mojikara, while he went off and married a “proper woman” and had Kaoru when Sakurai was four years old. Sakurai continued to fight and train for the leadership of the Shiba clan, sure that his father would return – as his mother was determined – to allow him to be the eighteenth head of the Shiba clan. That never happened, and he began to realize years later that, as a bastard – only because his mother wasn’t “proper” enough to be his wife – that he wouldn’t become heir to the Shiba clan.
Sakurai went through life, keeping his heritage a secret, using his mother’s surname. He continued to constantly train, believing that he would someday take the Shiba clan by force if he had to. He learned about Kaoru and the families of the retainers just so he could be ready.
Around one year ago, when his half-sister managed to kill Dokoku, the leader of the Gedoushu, he realized that his own fights against them had been for nothing if he couldn’t kill the leader. He had been fighting the grunts and Ayakashi that they would occasionally send in his area, all normal, with only his ShinkenMaru and ShodoPhone. Eventually he grew sick of them and ended up meeting Akumaro, who swayed him into joining the Gedoushu for the power to be the head of the Shiba clan.
Too proud to do that, he lied and said he would. Even if it complicated his morals, he would do it. He worked as one of the heads of the Gedoushu for a time, until being told that his job was now to eliminate ShinkenRed. He was given the power to use dark-elemental Mojikara, rather than only his fire, and began to fight as ShinkenKuroKaen, now targeting the Shinkengers.
Anything Else: Played by Ren. Of note is that the seventeenth head couldn't marry Sakurai's mother is because of feudal issues; he would have, could he have. He didn't mean to have a bastard.

No.
Not when it involved murdering his half sister. One of them was technically baseborn; a bastard. It was him...but that was only because of politics. He was the rightful heir of the Shiba clan. He knew that.
