Morpher /Sequence: He takes out his Transformation Handheld Shodophone and transforms it into Brush Mode. With a call of "Ippitsu sōjō!", he writes the Kanji for water in the air in front of him. The kanji then appears in front of his face as well as behind him. The one behind him forms his suit, while the Shinkenmaru appears on his waist. The remaining kanji forms the helmet. He then proclaims "ShinkenBlue! Ryunosuke Ikenami!"

- Super ShinkenBlue - By combining the InrouMaru with his Shinkenmaru, he can transform into his Super Shinkenger form, which gives him enhanced power levels. However, there is only one Inroumaru, so only one Shinkenger can use it at a time. However, there is a way that all the Shinkengers, including Gold, can become Super (*coughCelestialscough*)
- Hyper ShinkenBlue - Ryunosuke can obtain this form by weilding the Kyoyoumaru (the weapon held by the first ShinkenRed). It is stronger than the Super Shinkenger form, and gives him unparalled reach and striking power. However, much like the Inroumaru, there is only one Kyoyoumaru, so only one Shinkenger can use it at a time.
Weapons:
- Secret Playback Katana Shinkenmaru - the sole sidearm for the core Shinkengers. is first activated by taking any of the Secret Disks from the buckle on the Shinkengers' belts and attaching it to the hilt to become the guard. By spinning that Secret Disk, the Shinkenmaru acts as a praxinoscope and it powers up depending on the disk itself. By spinning the Common Secret Disks fast enough, the Shinkenmaru transforms into the Shinkengers' signature weapon.
The Shinkenmaru is most commonly used as its design implies, but is also used to control the Origami, and summon several of them. The sword's handle is sized to allow a Hiden Disc to be attached at the hilt, allowing for a multitude of possibilities, from elemental attacks by using an Origami Disc to controlling ShinkenOh using the Hiden Shield Disc. Using a personal Secret Disk allows a Shinkenger to execute a Spiral Sword attack depending on the element that the disk represents. The five Spiral Sword elemental attacks can be used in the Quintuple Sword and the Five-Colored Dance attack. The four Spiral Sword elemental attacks can be used in the Four Continual Slash and the Quadruple Sword attack. With Skinken Gold, the can execute the Six Continual Slash and the Six Elements Slash. - Water Arrow - ShinkenBlue's Shinkenmaru becomes the Water Arrow after activating the Common Disc, becoming a weapon that resembles a yumi, the Japanese longbow.
With the Water Arrow, Shinken Blue can perform the Clear and Serene attack and the Samurai Flash Wave with ShinkenPink, Green, Yellow and Gold. With the Kajiki Disc, it can heal injuries and cure supernatural poison.
He can also use the ends of the bow for melee attacks.
Zord:
- Ryuu Origami - ShinkenBlue's primary Origami that forms the left leg and helmet of ShinkenOh. It's Emblem Form is a hexagon. In battle, the Ryuu Origami is able to shoot a stream of blue fire in its Dragon Waterfall attack.
Inside Stuff
Personality: Ryunosuke is a rather loyal young man, both to his lord and to the theater. His devotion to the lord shows in the fact that he was the one that trained the most to properly serve her... but he can get very dramatic with some things, much to Kaoru's chagrin. He will try to do whatever he can if it pleases Kaoru, and will ask for an overly harsh punishment should she fail in a task. However, he has shown on occasion a serious side, but only when he as to.
Strengths:
- The most experienced of Kaoru's retainers.
- Can disguise as a girl rather easily.
- Really loyal to his lord; He'll obey any order given to him without question.
Weaknesses:
- Has a tendency to overact
- Is always at odds with Ayane.
- Really loyal to his lord; if he fails, he will offer himself a rather harsh punishment for his failure.
History: As a member of the Ikenami family, Ryunosuke was practically raised to be a retainer of the Shiba family. As such, his training was the most intense out of all the Shinkengers. He was finally able to serve his lord a few years ago when the Gedoushu returned, and proved himself worthy to be one of Kaoru's retainers. During these battles, was able to come up with various formations for the Origami, effectively creating a majority of the team's mecha.
When Genta was killed in battle, Ryunosuke was performing a kabuki act out of the country, and was not aware of the arrow that was sent until only several days later. As such, he felt an immense amount of guilt for his action, returning to Kaoru with a punishment all lined up for himself. However, before he could, Kaoru told him that it was not necessary, as his arrival would have been late anyway, due to being so far from Japan. This made Ryunosuke begin to understand his lord even further, and will stay by her side as much as he can, even if he has to die protecting her.

Sample RP: Ryunosuke had woken up in his hotel in Europe, having been exhausted from the previous night's performance. He decided to go get some fresh air on the balcony, but before he could even decide to go out, he had noticed something sticking to the glass sliding door to the balcony: An arrow, with a piece of paper wrapped around it. Alarmed, he ran to the balcony and dislodged the arrow from it. "Lord Kaoru summoned me?" He then looked at the arrow. "It looks like it's a few days old..."
It then hit him like a ton of bricks. "No!! I have failed to appear before my lord when I was needed the most!" he exclaimed, a bit too melodramatically. "I do not deserve to be one of the Shiba family's retainers after this! PLEASE FORGIVE ME, TONOOOOOOOOO!"
"Hey, keep it down!" someone said from the floor below him. "Some of us are still trying to sleep!"
Ryunosuke looked down and sighed. "Sorry," he said, before going back inside.
