Inside Stuff
Personality:Is initially a bit rebellious against authority figures, and outgoing with potential friends, though she won't be put down by any means...sometimes that will lead to flare-ups of her temper. But despite how she acts sometimes and looks, she comes through when it counts, and around people she knows, she's cheerful and honest. At times, she is very self-conscious and shy, like if her klutz tendancies come out...or she messes something up...but her short temper can get the best of that quickly.
Strengths:
- Straight-forward
- Stronger than the other girls
- Manual laborer
- A video gamer as well.
- Knows Rollerblading, Swimming, Gymnastics and some Martial Arts
- Is a decent speaker of Japanese, and somehow managed to do well enough on her calligraphy and sword / rod work that her parents forced her to learn.
- Is a good dancer...whether in a club or on the street.
Weaknesses:
- Her strength is raw strength, and mostly unfocused.
- Something of a klutz.
- Viewed as immature and a rebel because she wants to do her own thing.
- Has a short temper.
- Prefers her native tongue when possible...
- Sometimes over-does things.
- Rarely notices how other girls look at her.
- Other than Mojikara and some weapon training, she's an inexperienced Shinkenger.
History:Born to a heavily intermarried branch of the family that lived in America, her brother was the star, and had gone to fight Doukoku before. While he was away, she took up the duties that he would have done, manual work, hunting, fishing....a lot of it revolved around the forest.
Though as she grew up, she became more fiery in her temper, getting into fights at school, and being rebellious. Then, after her graduation, one year after her brother had left to fight Doukoku...he came back...with a presumably permanent leg injury. The rest of the family came to see him, and Emily offered to take care of him, but he said no. Instead, he would give her the tools that he had, and tell her to go to Japan....
Anything Else: Rei here, history's a bit short but not a lot was put into it. She also has a flute.
Sample RP:It was at night..and everyone had already visited her brother. Everyone but one....as the man lay there, lightly resting, he heard a rustling at the door, before it opened...and in walked Emily. "Hey." she said softly, and was greeted with a "Hey little sis." in return. "How're you feeling?" Emily asked. "Ok...though I could be feeling a lot better. Listen...my leg's broken, they're going to have to operate to set it and all." Emily took her brother's hand in hers, "I'm sorry to hear that."
"I know, so am I, but listen...look in the drawer beside the bed, and take what you see there..." Emily looked at him weirdly before kneeling down beside the bed and taking out the ShodoPhone and Bear Origami in square form, which was hooked to a silver necklace. "Wait a minute....you've gotta be kiddin me..." "No Emily, I'm not. I was the one who the family chose to fight Doukoku...and now I've heard that he may be back...yet I can't go with a broken leg. You need to take my place." "What the hell...how am I supposed to do that?" Emily said.
"Simple. You put your training on calligraphy and the sword to use, even though you hated that most. You need to go on a trip, Emily. Find the Shiba house in Japan....that's where the Princess and the other retainers are." "..." was Emily's responce for a moment, as she looked down. "That's cruel, brother." "I know, but I have no other choice. You can do it...I believe in you."
Emily sighed...a very long sigh. "Alright...I take it you've gotten everything together?" "Yeah, everything's set for you, all you have to do is go." "I guess I will. I love you." she said, giving her brother a one-armed hug so she could reach, and after doing that, she got her things together, and went to sleep, setting out the next morning...
