"That is part of my old life," he told Rekka, stepping back, "The way of the Makai Knight is my new life. I have no problems with it. I don't hesitate," he said, holding his hands out to take the coat, if she would give it to him.

Rekka looked back at him, before handing him the coat. "Keep telling yourself that....but you'll need to come to terms with it some day." she said bluntly before walking around the kitchen counter.

He folded it over his arm, following. He hated to admit it, but it was quite alluring, what she wore, without the coat.
"I've taken this new life as a way of coming to terms with it," he told her, "I've sacrificed my past to make amends, to come to terms with it, by allowing those I've hurt to come to terms, because of my sacrifice."
It was weak, but made sense enough to him.

He noticed her position, finding his heart beating a bit faster. He closed his eyes, thinking.
"She's young; younger than you. As a person...Yui-sama," he didn't mean to use her name, "is kind, sweet, the ideal princess. She's...she's caring, trustworthy, young. Since coming here...I've done all I could to keep her safe, keep my eye on her. She's young, though, so she wants to see what this place is like."
He avoided using talking about another world. He didn't want to bring that up.

"That's a nice name." Rekka said softly. She could almost hear faint thumps...but said nothing about it. "And she sounds like someone who will grow up to be a beautiful woman." she added, giving her own version of a compliment, though slightly awkward.
