Question for Legendary Mystics

As you may know I plan to redo the MagiRanger/Mystic Force rangers as an original team in the vein of Ren' Hunt Squadron. The problem is that when I look at the backstory I've created for it I realize that it is way too dark for anything that Power Rangers or even Super Sentai would ever do. I went full Hellblazer or Garo levels of dark urban fantasy with a Gold Ranger being an explicit John Constantine expy right down to his smoking and drinking habits, the Red and White Rangers being reincarnated lovers with the same age difference as in both previous versions, the Gold Ranger's Genie being a barely contained mythologically accurate Djinn that ouright wishes harm upon those who imprisoned and use him. Stuff like that.

I'm not sure if I really should keep using the Power Rangers name with all of that in there. What do you think?

I love it. You should keep it, granted, my Yellow isn't that dark, but yeah, that is awesome. Keep the Power Rangers name on it; we already have a team of Power Rangers who use hell as a powersource.

I personally don't consider the Fallen Rangers to be Power Rangers for just that reason but since no one else has a problem with a darker team with the Power Rangers team then I'll use it.
