Name: Rad Ossome
Age: 55
Sex: Male
Nationality: American
Occupation: Billionare Businessman
Species: Human
Celebrity Claim: Oscar Paul Trepanier
Hair color/style: Black, graying hair, cut short and slicked back.
Eyes: Blue
Description:
Rad's six-foot height is already imposing, but his strong build only serves to enhance it. While age threatened not to be kind to him, Rad took that threat and tossed it aside through endurance and exercize. He is strong and hardy, hardly frail, and has swiftly knocked a man down and out in more than one account.
The slight gauntness of his features are the only indication of his age, as his cheeks have sunken and his bones begun to protrude. Nevertheless, his eyes are sharp and hawkish, his nose is firm and tight, and his lips are firm and never wavering. He typically wears a gentle, amused expression, as though he knows something that others don't.
Atop his head he wears a full hat and over the rest of him he wears a three-piece suit complete with murky gray trench-coat. He prefers for his hatband and suit to be of fine navy, his shirt a crisp white, and a red tie to round off his attire. In his left hand he tends to carry a long cane-- the top of which is shaped like a lion's head-- which he doesn't seem to need as he has no limp. Upscale leather shoes and a golden watchchain complete his attire.

It's hard to say what truly drives Rad Ossome as he has no clear-cut motive or method to his actions. Some people think that he's a militant patriot since Exolder Corp. has no qualms about developing tech for the US Military; others think that he's an industrialist looking out for himself since his private companies always seem to make breakthroughs in the wake of his military contracts. Others think that he's just in it for the money. Others, who know a bit more of the inside story, theorize that Rad is moved out of guilt by how Andrea turned out. Whatever his drivin force, one thing is clear: Rad doesn't truly seem care what other people think of his motives, and actually helps the confusion to a degree.
Rad comes across as a condescending grandfather. He routinely presents himself as though he has the moral high ground and is always in the right, questioning others about whether they're sure that they wish to continue on their present course, and trying to smother those about him with goodness. He's eccentric and dapper, to a degree, and he plays that up.
Yet, beneath that facade, lays a set of iron principles that Rad will not compromise on. When someone violates his moral code, Rad will come down upon them with all of the force of a warhammer. His profiteering and engineering was at least partly done so that he would have the power to put a Rider into the ring and that he would be able to control one, and, thus, he has no qualms with using all of the force of that Rider when he feels it is warrented.
Those principles tend to guide him away from mundane affairs where there is no clear-cut right and wrong and to areas that could truly use intervention. At times, he has shown up in order to crush a resistance or put an end to an impending bloodbath, or to investigate a murder or shut down a blackmailer. It's hard to say where he will turn up next... as no one except himself ever really knows.
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
For the most part, Rad's birth and life were rather unremarkable. He lived and grew up with his parents, weathered the ocassional kaijin attacks. However, he always seemed just a bit eccentric and inventive. His immediate family thought nothing of these traits, and actually considered them good things, as they allowed him to flourish throughout school and industry, eventually landing a job at a researcher at a prestigous firm upon graduating college.
After plodding along there for a few years, Rad began to feel that he was being held back. The company was good, yes, but it was still a company that was concerned with making money. They felt that his ideas and designs were too radical and too risky to invest in. Frustrated with this, Rad broke ties with the company and went into business for himself.
It was slow going, but eventually Rad managed to parlay his own brilliance into a respectable company and land himself a sweetheart on the side. Things seemed to be looking up-- until a kaijin decided to trash his company and kill his fiance and their unborn child. Overnight, Rad lost almost everything and that drove him to the depths of depression.
After battling his way out of despair, Rad returned to the work force a changed man with a vengeance. He rebuilt his new company, Exolder Corp, from the ground up and quickly re-emerged as one of the leading scientists of the day. After work hours, he poured himself into studying Kaijin, Riders and Sentai, attempting to discern and work out the miracles behind their technology. Finally, after many years of work and the application of his genius, he succeeded in developin the MAIN Gear and the AWESOME technology that made it tick.
But, alas, he was not able to utilize the tech himself. His weak heart meant that such efforts would be beyond him. But Rad refused to surrender his desires to make an impact on this world. If he could not be a Rider... then he would find someone worthy of carrying the AWESOME mantle. He restructed Exolder Corp into his own little intelligence and research facility and began searching for someone who could work at his side.
That someone turned out to be Andrea. Rad recruited her to his side, gave her the technology, and together, they set out begin wiping this world free of Kaijin... or so the story goes.

"And so with power output exceeding expectations, we believe that we've perfected the MAIN Gear and the AWESOME."
Rad's eyes rose from the reports scattered across his desk to take in the lead scientist that hovered over him. The man was a bit on the wiry side, having spent far too long indoors, but the man knew his stuff when it came to nanotech. He leaned back in his chair and steepled his fingers together... then proceeded to address the scientist.
"It makes you wonder which came first: the name or the acronym. AWESOME? That's a bit presumptous, don't you think?" He said slowly.
"Well, sir." The scientist adjusted his glasses as he spoke. "Our boys were rather thrilled to be developing a Gear. But naming theatrics aside, it should be exactly what you've requested."
"Yes... Yes... I believe so."
Rad's mouth turned downward as he studied the reports one more time, looking for any fine print or detail that he might have missed. But he could see none. Everything was up to spec, the prototype was functioning exactly as advertised... It all appeared to be in working order. He nodded slowly.
He then issued his verdict: "Very well. You may proceed with the final product effective immediately. I want that Gear on my desk by this time next week."
"Yes, sir. We'll get right on that." The scientist nodded, gleefully, and then quickly left the room.
Once the man was gone, and the door thoroughly closed, Rad placed his foot against his desk and gave a small kick. His chair immediately swiveled around, causing his view to blur around his office and settle on the giant glass window that adorned one wall. He spent several moments examining the horizon, the city below, and all the people moving up and down the city streets.
"Soon." He commented to no one but himself. "... very soon."
The buzz of a phone interrupted his thoughts. Rad immediately turned back to his desk and hit the intercom, opening the line between himself and the receptionist.
The receptionist's voice came down the line: "Sir. Miss Andrea has returned."
"Excellent timing. Send her in." Rad nodded to himself. Things really were working out even better than intended...

Other Equipment:
- Lion's Head Cane: The Genre savvy would realize that Rad must carry his cane for a reason, and they would be correct. The top knob of Rad's cane can actually be flipped up to reveal a quartet of small buttons. Pushing a different button causes his cane to create a different effect.
The top left button creates a small force field to surround the user and act as a protective shield. The cane carries enough charge to maintain the force field for five minutes, after which it must be recharged.
Pressing the top right button lines the cane's front edge with a blade of laser energy, transforming the cane into a makeshift lightsaber.
The bottom right button causes a bolt of laser energy to be fired from the lion's mouth. Rad is a skilled shot. The cane carries a maximum charge of ten shots total and must be recharged before it can be used again.
The bottom left button immediately disengages any AWESOME tech in the immediate area and forces it to self-destruct. - The Limo: Rad keeps several cars of different makes and models which all have certain... advantages... over their consumer model cousins. Each of Rad's vehicles is bulletproof, impact-proof, radiation-shielded, and armed to the teeth with various guns and missiles.
- Bluetooth: Rad has a bluetooth that will allow him to maintain contacts and communications with a transformed AWESOME.

Strengths:
- Rad is an excellent engineer and programmer and has a keen eye for detailed work.
- In light of the above, he is more than able to routinely devise weaponry and devices that give his AWESOME tech an edge over those that he's faced off against before.
- Cashflow, like, a lot of it.
- Having an entire industry in your pocket means that repairs are easy to make.
Weaknesses:
- His heart is time's one vengeance upon him. He was born with a weak heart and is already on a pacemaker. Extended physical activity is not recommended. If he were to actually attempt to utilize the MAIN Drive or AWESOME tech, the strain would probably kill him outright.
- Rad is perhaps a bit too secretive for his own good. Often this comes back to bite him in the backside-- hard.
- Rad's not above dealing with the black market, he has been accused of hypocrisy. This gives the local and federal governments some hold over him-- more than he'd like, anyway.
- He's not a frontline fighter. Like most mission control experts, this leaves him very, very vulnerable during an actual firefight. The Limo alleviates some of this... but cars can't go everywhere... and besides is there any real way to stop a determined Kaijin?
