Inside Stuff
Personality: Kotoha is a pure and good-hearted person, although she is extremely hard on herself. This is primarily because she believes that she is stupid, and an unfit replacement for Mitsuba, although the other Shinkengers try to dissuade her from believing so. It is only after Mitsuba sends her a letter telling her that she is the true ShinkenYellow that Kotoha begins to move on. Kotoha is also very selfless and kind.
Kotoha is also extremely loyal to the Shiba family as she had served Takeru, the last Shinkenred, before he retired and now that she had decided to return into service she wants to act as a mentor for all the new faces of the Shinkengers and show them what it means to be a true samurai.

- Bad cook, learned from Mako so most of the things she makes are inedible

History:
Kotoha was originally not destined to be a samurai for the Shiba family, instead she was destined to help her family in Kyoto with their business and it was her older sister, Mitsuba, who was to be Shinken Yellow. However her sister soon fell ill and she was unable to take her duty as Shinken Yellow and thus the family had no choice but to have Kotoha replace her sister as Shinken Yellow. Her sister was crushed that her younger sister had to go in her place and she often apologized to Kotoha for that, Kotoha herself deciding never to cry in her sister’s presence so she didn’t have to worry about her.
She eventually made her way to Tokyo when Karou called her retainers to fight the Gendoshu and for a while things were looking up with the Shinkengers winning every fight but then the Gendoush’s counter-attacked and the team was left almost defeated until Karou Shiba saved them but the Gendoshu's were somehow able to exist outside of the Sanzu River and so it was up to the Shiba family to eventually destroy them. Kotoha decided to stay with Karou so she could mentor, to the best of her abilities, the retainers that Karou-hime chose to be with her.

Kotoha walked along the streets of Tokyo, it was a nice day, it had been months since she last saw Hime-sama and she was looking forward to serving under her once more, she also bet that there were new faces on the team, and she wanted to meet all of them and be friends with them. But she was also worried about the Gendoush because according to Ji-sama they were now able to reside in the human world and they were attacking people, “I have to get stronger” she said to herself as she made her way to the Shiba family house.
